It works for a park lodge (don’t expect luxury). My cabin shared a wall so noise could be an issue.

This is the most beautiful location I've ever seen. The view out our front door was breathtaking. Two Adirondack chairs in front of the unit made it the perfect spot to read a book or have a glass of wine. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Carmel Valley Lodge and Resort
It is like a motel set up. Room is pretty basic but quite spacious. There was a big clump of leaves that someone had swept but forgot to pick up right in front of our unit. We stayed only for 1 night so are not aware of the amenities. Breakfast was basic. Overall an ok stay
