Clean and modern, perfect for a short stay, we arrived real early and the team were good enough to have our room ready by 10am. Hotel was located centrally, everything close by and walkable - Attractions and places of interest, restaurants and bars, taxis, buses, trams and the metro all close by.

It was within a few minutes of the riverfront but far enough back to where it was very quiet. Clean comfortable bed and room.

The hotel was wonderful. One of the cleanist places we have ever stayed at. Staff was very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was a lovely variety and great coffees. Would have rated 5 stars except the room was a bit small and a little stuffy. AC was weak. Would stay here again.

My room was wihtout TV remote control which I have specifically asked at front desk to replace the next day which they dos not. Not only that, the house keeping did not refill tea, conditioner and cleaned used tea cup! I would not consider this three star service, let along dour star rating. The location was indeed Wonderful!

We enjoyed our stay in the auditory house. The staff at the front desk were all good but Francesca was great. Extremely helpful with anything and everything. Francesca turned our stay from a 5 to a 5 star.

Stayed for two nights last week. Great location, walk to the riverside, great restaurants and across the river to the port wine houses. Great selection at breakfast and the front office staff was so helpful, they let us store our luggage for a few hours after check out. The only annoying thing was the lack of privacy, from the toilet. Only a partially glazed glass with an opening on top separating it from the sink and open to the rest of the room. So all the scents and sounds (lol) goes around the room. It also got stuffy at night but we could not open the window because of the street noise.

Hotel location is centric and it seems like the the hotel was recently renovated. Rooms are well furnished but the room heater did not work. Room was quite cold at night. Front desk staff provide excellent service, especially Francisca at the front desk in the evening. Her service level and friendliness set her apart. Upon my checkin, the checkin staff did not mention that my breakfast was included in my reservation. This is quite important to make sure the client knows when checking in. I ended paying for breakfast outside the hotel every day, except the morning of checking out.

A good little hotel with a casual contemporary vibe. We love d the room and bathroom and the location. But the street noise kept us awake, and the drapes would not close, leaving the light streaming in.

The hotel is ideally placed to visit the historical center of Porto. Everything is walking distance and the river is 2 minutes away. The staff were all really kind and accommodating and speak a wide range of language. really good experience.

A Room with a View and so much more!
We had a wonderful stay at the Editory House. The front desk greeted us with a nice glass of port wine and helped us settle in. Our room was clean and our bed was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and they even made eggs to order! The location of the hotel is fantastic. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

This was a great home base for exploring Porto on foot. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the location is hard to beat.

The staff was great and we really enjoyed the complimentary pastry and port upon arrival. Breakfast was also wonderful. The location was convenient. We did feel the room was cramped and a little noisy. Also there was an issue with the shower not fully working.

Handy situation close to the river (30m) and the bridge (Louis I) taking you to the Port houses. 5 min from the centre of town. Loads of excellent places to eat all within 50m. Beautiful south facing balcony to chill on in the early evening. Only gripe if the shower glass was poorly /incorrectly fitted so water ran onto the wooden floor every time it was used - hence the room smelt damp on arrival.

The property was in a good location for access to the Douro and Port wine houses. The room was faultlessly clean and the staff were pleasant. Unfortunately the room was not soundproof due to a faulty french window seal and noisy late night guests using the lift immediately by our room door. The packed lunch bag provided as a substitute for the lack of an early breakfast service was also disappointing.

Nice location, walkable, safe. The rooms are updated but very small. Marcela from the front desk was very nice and helpful! Gave us some tips for good restaurants in the area.
