Three night stay. Very convenient location by the beach with bus to city centre right outside. Really nice roof top area and small pool. Staff were very helpful. Beds however are very firm. I did not find them comfortable at all. Breakfast is average in terms of selection.

Staff was nice, hotel is place in a beautiful area where you feel safe and can go for a walk in the park and to the sea for a view. Very quiet area and conveniently has options for transportation. Don't forget about the best breakfast in all Portugal.

Great hotel in perfect location

We had a fantastic stay at Boa Vista! Firsty the location is perfect, 2min to the beach, cafes, bars, restaurants, and easy to get to city centre, a perfect inbetween spot. The staff were all lovely, breakfast was also great. Hotel is very clean and the room has a great shower! The roof top bar, terrace and pool are a great addition, it was never crowded, plently of loungers for a relaxing few hours in the sun. If you havent visited the area before, bring some walking shoes or trainers, the beach front walk is wonderful, you can walk for miles, its a very active area which we loved. There are also scooter hire spots all along the way for those that perfect not to walk, they are a great way to explore the area. We plan to come back again and stay at Boa Vista!

Not value for money

Declining hotel. Very clear it is a hotel that needs renovation. Not a 3 star hotel and not value for money. On good thing is that it is clean and the location by the sea. Could be the best boutique hotel in Porto, but needs investments. And bring you own ion for your shorts. The hotel do not offer this . So bring a streamer og ion if you want a nice short or dress.

Lovely hotel away from the town, at the river mouth. Very comfortable room and bathroom. Nice rooftop snack bar with a lovely view towards the ocean. There are few restaurants around. The area is perfect for walks along the river or the ocean. I would recommend it to those who want to stay away from the busy area.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Fine breakfast selection. Pool maybe a bit small but plenty of loungers etc. Nice bar. Did not appear to be a restaurant for an evening meal but this was not a problem for us. A fine hotel which met all of our expectations.

Pros: Great Location near the beach. Nice rooftop pool. Cons: The couple of ladies working the front desk weren’t particularly nice. The room air conditioning didn’t work.

Great property if you want easy access to the waterfront along the Douro River. The path is great for jogging or just walking. Friendly and helpful hotel staff who actually gave us his personal Ibuprofen when we asked where to get some. Unfortunately, we were feeling a little under the weather so did not venture out too much, but we did enjoy the tremendous rooftop views of the river while enjoying some food and great wine. The breakfast that came with the room was fantastic. Parking was available but you do need to ask which spaces are good and which are bad. We got a small fine for parking in the wrong spot at one point. All in all, we enjoyed the hotel and would stay here again.

Wonderful location, easy to walk to restaurants etc. great views from Roof top Bar area. More care needs to be taken with signage in public spaces as floors have uneven surfaces and drop offs with no warning. I had a nasty fall on a wet marble floor…..no signage and still bruised badly and suffering with body pain and wounds. Staff were helpful and considerate but this should not happen.

This hotel is in a good position overlooking the sea (not all rooms do so) They serve breakfast which is buffet based with a wide variety of food. There is a bar and swimming pool on the roof which is a suntrap. The hotel is well placed if you enjoy walking - go left for the Douro and right for the promenade and beaches which are good. There plenty of eateries at all prices in the area (including 2 Michelin ones) it is better to book in advance as the locals also enjoy eating out!! My only gripe is that I booked through Expedia and offered to pay - they took my credit card details and gave them to the hotel - when the hotel tried to take the payment it was declined by our bank and they blocked the card permanently - luckily we had a 2nd card!!

Hotel is at great location and that’s the main reason (actually only reason) for booking it. Other than that you get what you expect with booking a 3 star hotel and it’s okay. However, I‘ve been there many times but probably not returning anymore. I needed (as always in the past and it worked out) a business address on my invoice. The first thing happening is right away blaming you, as I should have done it during check in and I got educated that they usually always ask during check in. Well, you can logically imagine that if I would have been asked, I obviously would have said yes to it, but I wasn’t. After weakening their argument the immediate next blaming was that during booking I should have mentioned it and it was „one more time“ my mistake and every hotel has it’s own rules. In a nutshell: Their primary focus is to make clear that you are to be blamed. My impression was that no matter what their core focus is to argue that long, making sure their vest is and remains always clean. They stated that they can’t change it anymore and continued doing some other work, answering incoming phone calls and leaving me stand like stupid at their desk. I expressed my disappointment, always stayed calm/professional and left then, as I was simply ignored. So, my overall experience is; Customer focus 1/10 and flexibility 0/10. Sad, having made this poor customer experience. But meanwhile knowing Porto well, knowing also other good alternatives.

The only reason to stay here is the location & a decent breakfast buffet. In all my travels I have not had such an uncomfortable bed & pillows, nor met such an inhospitable front desk attendant in Carlos. I mentioned a few issues after the first night of a 3 night stay, but nothing was done to help. We also had a double booking which they were no help resolving.
