The hotel service is inconsistent. Most of the staff do not speak English. They cater to local tourists. Which is fine.
The rooms aren't super clean. But the bed sheets were changed.
The air con and heat work. There's an extra quilt. Windows open.
There's a consistent wet cement type smell.
Amenities are standard. Bathroom small.
The cafe is open with standard fare. Hit and miss some items missing.
It is a decent hotel but far from the cool area of Moinhos."

"Computer at site lost our Expedia reservation and while my wife and I were in deep discussions as to the issue the desk staff was laughing at us for our English usage not knowing my wife is Brazilian. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it wasn’t bad as was breakfast but could see several guests struggle with the under cooked eggs and bacon. The worst struggle though was determining that a small napkin dispenser in the bathroom was actually giving out 3”x5” slips of toilet paper. Quite the adventure "
"From room service prices, to the taste of every single item I ordered I would stay here again in a heartbeat! The staff was fantastic, but I did have a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with me to translate. I had a WONDERFUL experience."
"O café da manhã tem bastante variedade mas a qualidade não é muito boa, principalmente os pães e bolos… Achei os bolos muito maçudos, não são de qualidade. Outro fator é muito barulho e conversas altas entre os funcionários.. o que não é nada elegante. "
