"This is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The location is a reasonable distance from the busy city of Porto over the river, while still being very accessible on the Gaia side, near the port wine cellars. We booked a studio room overlooking the Douro River with a stunning balcony view of the Luís I Bridge that we had to see to believe. Some days we took a short walk along the river to the lower cable car station to take in amazing views on the ride to the top. The upper station is next...

"Great hotel"

"Definitely a 3 star hotel . The room smelled like mold . Everything was a bit outdated. I arrived at 12am and the guy at the front desk kept asking me for the same things after giving them to him already. He took my passport , gave it back to me then asked for it again.. he did that a few times .. kinda annoying to deal with that late at night . Also I don’t know when’s the last time someone emptied the garbage cans in middle of the hallway but the hallway really stunk bad. Breakfast was meh ....

"Auch mein zweiter Aufenthalt im B&B Gaia war hervorragend. Saubere Zimmer, saubere Aufenthaltsräume, freundliches Personal, unschlagbar günstige Lage, 24h Kaffee- und Getränkebar, super Frühstück und das beginnend ab 6.30 Uhr also auch für Frühaufsteher geeignet. Modern und zweckmäßig eingerichtete Zimmer, tolle Pflegeprodukte (Schampoo, Duschgel, Handwaschseife, Bodylotion) ein leistungsstarker Föhn, genügend Stauraum und Ablageflächen. Ich war wieder sehr zufrieden mit meinem Aufenthalt."

"Not a 4 star hotel. Super dated old hotel and they don’t even try to maintain anything. When something breaks down, they don’t even try to fix it. We came into a hot room and the AC was not blowing, and they tried to gaslight me. Make me feel like I’m crazy. But we booked two rooms and the other room the AC was blowing just fine. They made it seem like we didn’t know how to use an AC and they did not change the room until the third time we asked. The balcony area looked really gross. Everything...
