"We absolutely loved our stay at Grand Hotel Vesuvio and would highly recommend it, especially if you’re visiting Naples for the first time. The location was one of our favorite things about the hotel. It’s right on the waterfront, close to the harbor and ferry terminals, and perfect for evening walks along the Lungomare. Naples can feel very busy and overwhelming in certain areas, so we really appreciated coming back to this part of the city each day. The area around the hotel felt cleaner, calmer, and safer to us, while still being very convenient for exploring the rest of Naples and taking ferries to the nearby islands. The hotel itself has so much character and history. Grand Hotel Vesuvio dates back to 1882, and you can really feel that sense of old-world elegance throughout the property. There is something special about staying in such a historic hotel overlooking the Bay of Naples and Castel dell’Ovo. Our room and the entire property were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The service was amazing from beginning to end. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Breakfast was also top-notch and one of the best parts of our stay. There was a wonderful selection, everything was fresh, and the service each morning was excellent. After traveling through several parts of Italy, Grand Hotel Vesuvio was a wonderful place to end our trip. Between the beautiful waterfront location, history, cleanliness, excellent brea"

"Fredericka, the manager, was great. She helped us plan our trip ahead of time suggesting activities and giving local insight on the area. She was accommodating to our very early check in. Alex took care of us while we were there. Very nice, helpful, and thorough. Alex made us the best espresso every morning that we were not gone by 9am. Alex did not speak English, but we had fun translating messages with each other. There is a pizza place just down the street that we enjoyed numerous times. The port would be quite walkable for younger visitors, but for 60 somethings it was an easy taxi ride. AppTaxi was very easy to use to schedule a ride usually 20E or less. Great Hotel!"

"Such a lovely hotel. We stayed for 5 nights, and whilst the walk to Naples centre is around 50 minutes (and is lovely along the waterfront), you can also catch the underground train 2 stops and you’re in the heart of the Spanish quarter! Great neighbourhood and close to lots of fabulous restaurants - reccomend around are 50 Kalo (for pizza) and casa 50 which are a 5 minute walk away. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is wonderful. I’d highly recommend. They also have a cat who roams the foyer who is super appreciative of cuddles 😂"

"This is was our second stop in Italy, when I reached out them a day before check in as well as day of they never responded to my message. Once we got there we were definitely shocked by the run down entrance, and called their WhatsApp which they immediately answered and helped us get into our room. The space was totally different and really clean and nice inside, room was spacious, and had our basic amenities. We just felt their cleaning solution used lingered a while we got a headache from it, but we opened our balcony to let fresh air come in. We did get bit, which I'm assuming could be mosquitoes so we just kept the balcony closed. This stay was in a nice part of town, and across the water. It was nice to walk on that pathway and even take a jog. Close enough to their beach too. Safe area, and great pizza spot a couple blocks down."
