"This isn’t a hotel for everybody- if you’re good with sharing a bathroom and having an open ceiling, then definitely consider staying here. Now Now was as advertised: sort of like an upscale hostel in terms of sleeping and bathroom arrangements. The room was bigger than I expected and well laid out. I had plenty of space for myself. The passageways for the rooms reminded me of being on a train with sleeping compartments - long and quite narrow. I was pleasantly surprised to find a white noise machine in the room, which I appreciated. I stayed on a women’s floor and everyone there respected the hotel rules about not having anyone else in the room and not having phone calls, which kept the ambiance calm and quiet. The bathroom facilities were generally good, except that the foyer to the shower tended to get very wet due to how the shower is laid out, so it was a bit tricky navigating that. They provide you with slippers but I’d recommend bringing a pair of shower flip flops if you can fit them. It would have been nice if there was more than one toilet and shower on our wing, but there was only one time I had to wait a little for shower availability so it wasn’t an issue. There’s also a floor that has more bathrooms if you need quicker access. The quality of the bed linens, towels, and robes were great. The location of the hotel is perfect. Steps from good places to grab coffee, food, subway, etc. The hotel staff were friendly as well. I’d stay there again if traveling solo!"

"The customer service was outstanding. Smiles from the minute I walked in to when I left. Super friendly sweet staff. My room was perfect. Cool functioning AC. No weird smells. I was on the 9th floor. Great views. Early check in plus king size bed upgrade. Slept like a princess. Counter was a bit dusty but no biggie bought some disinfectant wipes at the near cvs my usual stop when at a hotel. Spent my birthday in peace. My room, the location served its purpose. Solo female traveler. Felt safe to wander around the neighborhood, to china town and back. Tip: cleaning lady could be a little more considerate when cleaning by not letting the door slam. Woke me up a couple of times. She was doing her job. Excellent might I add. Would definitely book here again. "

"If you want to tour NYC this is great hotel for it! It is in a central location right by Grand Central...very convenient to go uptown or downtown! We stayed 5 nights but they only gave us 2 days of free breakfast. Personally, for the price, it should be everyday. The room and bathroom were small but again we weren't in there much other than to sleep. We didn't have a TV remote for 3 days (nowhere to be found). We received one on the 4th day. I would stay there again if I came back."

"It's a beautifully designed and central hotel. Our room was gorgeous and so big/spacious. Subway station is bottom of the street. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in NYC "
