Beautiful resort!

Our room and the resort were gorgeous, and we loved having a romantic dinner on the pier. Paddleboards didn’t have fins, which made them unusable, but otherwise our stay was perfect.

This is an excellent resort in a good location. The staff are excellent, always a smile and a kind word. Our 2bedroom villa was large with a full kitchen and indoor laundry. You can order meals and have them in your villa, on your deck, at the pool, or on the pier which makes mealtime extra special. We highly recommend the resort as well as the snorkel and Monkey River excursions

Beautiful place to stay with 1st class service. Far enough out of town for peace but only 5 minutes outside of town. Their food was excellent and reasonably priced compared to town. Definitely get a golf cart.

Just stayed a few days to check out Placencia. Chabil Mar made a good base to launch from. They had an hourly shuttle into the village, and Lacho, the driver was great at finding you anywhere

Wonderful stay. Basically on-call butler service during daytime hours for food. The staff, especially the bar staff, were friendly and accommodating. Quiet, but still able to have fun activities. Our stay at chabil mar was incredible. The resort was immaculate and quiet. It has two beautiful pools and a quaint dock. The beach was kept up very nicely. The resort was maybe a kilometer away from Placencia but they offered a free hourly shuttle and complimentary bikes. We were even able to kayak into town on the free kayaks! The resort might be a bit pricey but for the luxury it was definitely worth it. Excellent place for weddings! They have very big rooms with well appointed kitchens.

Great resort, close to town

Stayed with my husband and adult daughter. The villa was well appointed and very comfortable. Two bedrooms and two baths and a nice kitchen/living area so we had enough space to share. Nice shaded deck with hammock too. The two pools were well maintained. Lounge chairs and umbrellas at both the pool area and beach. There was a complimentary shuttle to bring us into town and the driver (I forget his name) was so friendly and accommodating. There were also complimentary bikes that we used a number of times. They were in good shape and always available. There were also kayaks & paddle boards available, but we did not take advantage of them as it was too windy while we were there. Overall a great stay.

Vacation at Chabil Mar

My room furniture was too dark, and the curtain did not fully close. The carpet was a hazard. The staff service was excellent. There were too many trees. I felt like I was in the jungle.
