"The hotel is beautiful, new and meticulously maintained. The rooms a large and very comfortable. THE POOL is the most beautiful pool I have ever seen and enjoyed, and I have seen a lot of them in my trips. The staff is perfect! They even game a bouquet of flowers on Mother’s Day!!! If there is one thing I would like to have is a TV in the room. There is not much to do in Nosara except surfing and for those of us who don’t surf nor are on vacation, it can get bit tedious. "The rooms were very comfortable (best sleep we had on our trip to Costa Rica) and we loved the pool, the beach, the sunsets, and the star gazing at night. We were there with our family. It is a bit remote so good idea to bring games and snacks if traveling with kids. The restaurant on the premise is expensive but serves creative dishes by a Michelin star chef using local ingredients."

"The pool was beautiful, and central to all the rooms. We loved hearing the monkeys, cicadas and birds all day and night. We really felt like we were in the jungle, yet also bear all the action. Rooms were clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved our stay!"

The staff are very kind & seem to all make sure to know you by name. As others said the included laundry service is a really nice feature, daily cleaned clothes for yoga and beach means less extra clothing to pack or dirty laundry to travel with. "We had an excellent time at the Mikado. It was our first time to Costa Rica and it was probably one of our best holidays. Such a fun adventure. Lolo was an excellent host and if you do stay you must take advantage of her dinners. Incredibly romantic. The location is perfect. Quick drives to Tamarindo, Playa Avellanas and Playa Conchal. Great places to explore and then return to the peace and tranquility of the lodge. Absolutely perfect. "
