"I found hotel a bit grubby. Breakfast selection was good, but was cold. Middle of afternoon I was in my room and a staff member let themselves in. No knock to warn me. I was told by reception that staff are entitled to enter rooms and to put up a do not disturb sign. Cleaners had already been. Noisy at night from local club, so didn't sleep well. "AVOID! On arrival we got our keys from the keylock which was a simple process. When entering the apartment it completely stunk of cigs and w - as if people had been in there for days smoking. Even aside from the foul smell the place is very run down, lots of marks and stains on the walls etc. The glass hob surface had a large chip/crack on it which you could easily cut yourself of. A number is given to contact and says it's staffed until 8pm. We arrived about 8:30 but messaged basically...

"Even though the hotel was clean and well maintained, I found the entrance difficult to find and also a lack of parking which required parking my vehicle at a parking garage in the city about three blocks away. At night returning from there back to the hotel, I felt uneasy as there were some shady individuals in that area."

I booked it thru Hotels.com app. It's my new go to app for travel related bookings after the poor treatment I got from Booking.con who refused me a refund on a booking that I couldn't use because the owner has changed the code on the key box and not updated this information on booking.con.
