"A lovely stay at this property with our 2 year old.The apartment had everything we needed and communication with the host was very good There are steep hills to access the property by car or foot so bear that in mind but we managed fine with a pram and a car its just worth noting Handy to have laundry facilities on site aswell. "Lovely hotel with large open air pool and surrounding area. Delicious food, helpful staff and good size room for two people. Slightly away from town but hotel offers a shuttle service for most trips into town. It is walkable but depends on the weather as the heat can make it tough going. Thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay."

"Despite the name this is not a “palazzo” experience. A minimalist hotel room with the bare minimum of toiletries and very cluttered public space. I was in room 108 and woke before 5:30 am by excess noise in building. And then there is the cost of 12 euros for breakfast when they get the pastries from next door. A convenience but not worth the cost when you too can get at significantly less next door. Pistoia has other options"

"We chose Pistoia as the base for a two-day visit to Florence. This plan worked great. Hosts Carlo and Lucia have a quirky compound located a short walk from the train station. We parked our rental car for the duration, and used the regional train service (frequent and cheap) to get to Florence. (Ask Carlo about his motorcycle collection.) While C & L don't speak English or French and we don't speak Italian, communication was no problem: beyond Google, they use the new generation of on-the-fly translation devices. Each morning, they laid on a nice spread for breakfast, so our mornings did not start hungry. Warm and personable couple, convenient location."

"I loved this property. It’s a smaller city and we had a car so we drove to the train station and hopped on the train. The host at San Rocco was wonderful, very accommodating, handled our requests quickly and courteously. The restaurant is run by a man and his wife who previously owned a restaurant. The restaurant on Saturday evening was full to capacity because loyal customers have followed him to his new location. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. Some of the rooms have been renovated and some are in the process so are a bit dated but super clean, good mattress and the view from our bedroom and kitchen was stunning!"
