Canyons Boutique Hotel, a Canyons Collection Property
8/10 Good
"Room was well decorated and had an interesting ceiling, but felt small.
AC unit did not work well. We ended up leaving the window open all night, so we could sleep somewhat comfortably.
The mattress either needs flipped or replaced. There was a large bump in the middle. Lots of pillows to choose from, so it was nice to have one that fit each of our thickness preferences.
Breakfast was different! We had to ask the gentleman, who was delivering our food, if he could wipe the table off. There were lots of crumbs all over it. Then he set down the tray with a hotel determined breakfast, but no plates. I asked him if he could bring us a couple small plates and he asked me, "Why?" Gee, We didn't think it was a huge ask, especially since the people before us obviously did not get plates either. The breakfast was not to our liking. We would have definitely skipped it altogether had we known what they were serving, especially since we weren't given any choice.
Hotel did not meet our expectations!"
"Bad experience. Road to Zion Camping was dusty, very bumpy. No one there to check in with. Eventually found our site ourselves. A number of problems. No way to secure the tent when we leave for the day. No wifi, conflicting stories as to when we’ll get it back. Shower and toilet across the rocky road had no running water in sink, no way to brush teeth, etc. Door had a nonfunctioning lock, and broken door closer. Water for site itself was a hand pump. Seriously? I assume we were to fill a bucket or something? The “view” was a lot across the road in some stage of development, with an old toilet lying there in the dirt.
Emails back and forth got us nowhere. So we’re out 2 days fees. Hotels.com is my next step. Non-refundable notwithstanding, this place is nowhere near worth the 9.2 stars shown. Seems like a scam, And the site should provide an explanation. Look elsewhere. Maybe skip “Hotels” altogether and find a site with honest reviews.
Good luck. At least Zion National Park delivered."
"The room was very nice, clean, and pretty quiet. Breakfast was the same exact items every day (scrambled eggs and sausage, no potatoes, and then the usual bread/pastries, machine yogurt, waffle maker, cereal), which got tiresome, especially if you don't like sausage and don't want all the carbs and sugar of the other items. It was nice to have shredded cheese for the eggs, though, and those were good. Can't beat the location in Kanab. "

Hello. We arrived around 8pm
We had a good nights sleep once the traffic had quiet ended down, and we had the 3 beds which we wanted. There seemed to be clean linens and towels.
I probably wouldn’t stay there again.
The rooms are grubby and carpets and floors very dirty and unkept
The fridge was clean but the freezer section had ice build up inside.
When checking in I went to the office and there was no one there. I called the number on the front desk but it took me to a voicemail. Tried a few times
I tried one of the numbers on the confirmation email which then called the phone in ghe reception. Still no one there.
I then noticed the checking in documents on the reception desk and took the liberty of checking that it was mine to see if I could identify which room.
Soon after a lady arrived to help me. The parking outside room 5 was occupied so we parked near the reception room.
I would rate the facilities as ‘POOR’
I don’t think I would stay there again.
Sorry!

"Not the fanciest or most up to date hotel, but very clean, solid and well maintained, not run down at all. Their claim to fame is a place where the Hollywood stars would stay while making films. All the rooms have both room numbers and actors' names."
