"Overall, everything was a great stay. The staff was very friendly & helpful. One weird experience was I tried to get chrck in 2 days earlier & called the totel dorectly at 12:30am on Sunday morning. I was told by the front desk person the only rooms available were 2 queen-sized beds for $374. I called back thinking he must have meant for 2 nights, but no, thay was for 1 night checking in at 1am, which was shocking since I only paid a $168 the exact same night, through my booking memebership. Very greedy!
We had a few things in our room that needed attention, but not critical. However, when we first walked in our room, it smelled so heavily of men's old school cologne, it almost made us gag. By the time we left on the second day, the smell had dissipated to where it was only somewhat noticeable.
Breakfast had a good variety, even offered whipped cream for the waffles.
The hotel definitely shows its age a little in certain areas, especially in the hallways and elevators. The 2 main concerns that I had was the Back Door entrance, says that it's supposed to be locked at all times with use of the guest key. However, we came in one night after midnight & the door was wide open to anyone. No requirement of our key to access the full hotel. The pool & hot tub were absolutely disgusting & in desperate need of a major cleaning. I don't know how they're allowing anyone to swim in that filth. You can see all the dirt and grime on the walls and floor of the pool and the hot tub."
