Blue Ridge Mountain Inn

"This is NOT a high end hotel, but it is very cozy. The overall appearance of the place was nice. Check in was easy. There are no room keys, but a pin/code. Luckily, the employee had it written down. We were told that it was sent to me, but I did not receive it. The location is very convenient...it's at the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stayed in room #3. The room was nicely updated. The shower head definitely needs replaced. The air conditioner is in the bathroom. It cooled down but was very cold in the bathroom and didn't quite make it out into the room. It was loud. The floor needs a good cleaning. The bottoms of our feet were pretty dirty from walking barefoot in the room. Overall, it's a nice place to stay. We would recommend it. Not sure if we will be in the area again, but this would be our pick to stay at again. Minutes from the hotel are several shops/restaurants/gas stations."

"Room was newly remodeled, clean. There were several "full-time" residents at motel that made us uncomfortable. The smell of marijuana was strong from room next to ours. Only one trash can in room. Bed was very comfortable. No continental breakfast on site. There was an excellent quaint restaurant next to motel called Mary's. The food and atmosphere were great. If you are looking for reasonable price and good bed this is a good option. Front desk staff friendly and helpful."

"Beware the induction stove! I booked the room to have a stovetop/kitchen, but it was an duction stovetop I could noy use it with my metal Italian coffee maker. Staff at check-in were good, but when I called about the stovetop later I was told they would be happy to sell me some suitable cookware and otherwise tough luck! The place is fully refurbished to a good level, my only real issue was the stovetop. Oh, and nowhere in the very nice shower to out soap and razor - no shelf at all!"
