"Very good as usual, room and facilities clean and high spec. Not a lot of entertainment in the area, as expected, but travel into town on the nearby U1/2 bus is very handy and cheap. I just wish the lifts were closer to the rooms I've had :)"

"Even though the hotel is on a main road the room was peaceful and quiet. The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes walk from the city centre. With plenty to do in the evening. "

Staff were very opleasant and helpful and everywhere was clean It is a historic building with a wow factor but is up to date inside. We had a standard room which was lovely Dinner was great with plenty of choices and we will definitely stay again pamela"

"I had a little trouble finding the car park but the receptionist was brilliant in helping me out and giving me a pre-printed map and an accurate post code for my SatNav. Check-in was seamless. Food was excellent. Wonderful ambience in the bar. Comfy room."
