Heating in the room was not good enough so freezing cold overnight. Very dirty carpets and wall by the bed. Would avoid.

Christmas do at the Bell

It was OK for a midweek overnight stay if you are doing something in Stilton albeit a bit basic

Refurbish long overdue

Room was tired, stained carpet, sanitary bags in bedside table disintegrating. Mould in shower. Spider heaven (if you're a spider). Disinterested employees. Would have been more upset if this was a holiday rather than a stop over after a party.

not really a 4 star?!

rooms are very basic, MFI furniture. Beds for 4 people, but one chair, one small radiator and a hook to hag your towels on. blinds falling apart. door knob falling off. we paid 100euro a night, way too much for the level of accomodation. cooked breakfast was great, but if you want something healthy (fruit, yoghurt, muesli etc) better take your own. breakfast room ceiling has holes and big water stains on the ceiling.

The room was extremely comfortable (especially after 3 nights in a cramped London hotel!), and we very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the pub. Would happily return :)

Suited our need but not recommended

We had a family party at the Stilton Cheese and needed accommodation. The party was well looked after good food and service very good but the rooms were very disappointing. Linen was good but entire venue was in need of a good updating and clean. Sorry would not recommend as a bed and breakfast.

Comfortable but noisy on a Saturday night

The room is good for a pub but not for those needing peace and quiet. The rooms are sandwiched between the rear terrace of the pub and the beer garden. We stayed on a Saturday night in high summer with a birthday BBQ in the garden with loud music. Fortunately we were out ourselves for most of the evening so were not too badly affected. We ate in the pub in the evening and for breakfast, and although the breakfast cereals were reduced to children's cereals, the rest of the breakfast was fine, as was the evening meal.

Not really value for money

Felt room was very small for the price - £80 plus £15.00 for 2 adequate breakfasts. Biggest issue was that we booked breakfast for 8.30 and the Chef only appeared at 8.30 so nothing prepared, no equipment switched on, so 5 of us waited quite a while! On the plus side - the shower was probably the best I've ever had in a hotel and the onion rings at dinner were superb

Very nice place.

We stayed for one night whilst visiting family. The rooms were a bit small but clean and very comfortable. We also ate in the pub several times and this was excellent. I would recommend this pub/hotel.

Really friendly countryside pub

Lovely countryside pub with 6 bedrooms. Rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. Excellent location for exploring Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. Best of all the owners and local people were so friendly and welcoming.

For my wife and I,the noise from the outside facility for the smokers and music (Karaoke) is a concern for anyone who wants to sleep before 24:00hrs on a Saturday night. We booked a room that cost £90 a night and included a wet room- more expensive than a standard room and not worth the extra charge.

The accommodation was fine overall. The limiting factor was that the rooms were on one side of a busy decking area with a busy and noisy pub on the other side - not much the hosts can do but needs pointing out.

Exactly what I needed and what was said on the web

Stayed in a room in a group of six units' at the back of the pub. The room was fine, Eat at the attached pub - good breakfast and evening meals. Liked the pub's clientele, the atmosphere - seemed quite of locals eat there - and the young waitresses were very polite and helpful (and put up with my humour!).

good b&b

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts both introduced themselves. Pub food very good, both breakfast and evening meals. Nothing was too much trouble. Did not hear any noise from the pub despite being fairly close to it. location was ideal for travelling further afield. The village of Stilton offered other places to eat out and a couple of local shops with post office. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay and would go back again.
