The Sandman Santa Rosa Sonoma, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"No real complaints. Room smelled clean when we walked in. Says its newly renovated but there's still some bits and pieces that need to be fixed. Overall the stay was nice. I loved the layout of it. The bed was too hard but thats a pretty common motel thing. It was a nice vibe. At times loud with people coming and going but not bad."
"Our overall experience was excellent and USER FRIENDLY leaving us feeling happy and that our visit was definitely a worthwhile investment, one we would consider signing up for in the future for a MUCH longer stay."
"This place was very clean and updated. I unfortunately was booked in the accessible room which had a tiny shower. The water pressure is very low and the bed was very uncomfortable. It felt like an old and updated mattress. Otherwise the staff and property are amazing. I did not eat the breakfast but it looked pretty nice. I’d be willing to stay there again in a different room."
"The property was very centrally located for girls 2 night wine trip. The room was very clean and appreciated the extra pillows that we had requested. :). My friend also tried the extra pillows. She said she never slept so great and she’s gonna do that at home- (I do it due to medical reasons).
The staff was wonderful, just very personable, and very accommodating (I always bring Sees candy and facial masks/cleansers for the front desk staff … some can’t have candy). I’ve been in the travel industry for many years, and they work hard. - Kindness goes a long ways…
Our room was on the 4th floor city view (the wonderful front desk person changed our room to the other side due to construction on the street). Extremely kind of her to think of this!
Loved the free coffee in the lobby. and it was good and strong, except for one morning was very light and weak- not sure, but we went back later and it was good and strong again!
The lobby was beautiful, The candy to go bag .. what a sweet touch! —- even the bathrooms in the lobby extremely clean for the amount of guests that we’ve seen come and go.
My compliments to the housekeepers and maintenance staff & the front desk.
Hands down, I will be returning to this hotel, and next time we will make it a spa weekend.
Thank you, Archer. It was 5 star, top grade stay!

"Although the room was a little small, the bed was the most comfortable, I think, that I have ever experienced at a hotel. Also, the shower was very bright and clean. Very central to everything I needed to do."
