Our stay at the Heron View was fantastic. Samantha and Leo are the consummate hosts. We couldn’t have asked for better hospitality. A brilliant introduction to Eden. We loved the property, set in an idyllic landscape, comfortable, clean, perfect. Highly recommend a stay at Heron View on your next visit to Cumbria.

Heron View is a lovely property in a peaceful village. Our large bedroom was beautifully furnished and decorated and contained everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Samantha thoughtfully provided a vacuum flask of fresh milk so we could make tea in our room. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed chatting to our fellow guests.

Superb BnB
Samantha gave us a very friendly welcome, waiting as we arived with tea and fresh home made scones, wonderful. the room was large ,clean and lovely decor with on suite shower. There was tea making eqipment in the room and a fridge in the breakfast area.the surrounding area is beautiful and we spent our evening, after our fish and chips, sat on a bench by the river drinking wine. After a comfortable nights sleep and then a full hearty breakfast we said our farewells , until we return of course. Many thanks Samantha see you again for sure.

The hosting was exceptional.
This was one of the best B&B we have stayed at. The accommodation was very comfortable and VERY clean and tidy. We were warmly welcomed with a cup of tea and freshly baked scones with jam and cream. The breakfast was exceptional. With a choice of fresh chopped fruits, fresh juice and real butchers sausages and bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, and fresh eggs from their hens. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Sam was very friendly and welcoming and made us nice filter coffee, with banana cake when we arrived. The place was very clean, the bed comfortable, lovely towels and there is a good standard throughout. There are only two rooms with a little lounge to sit in with a fire, so it did not feel so much like a B&B. She was also very considerate, leaving drinking water and fresh milk in the fridge. We would definately return and recommend staying there.

A great break! Like home from home
We booked here to break up our travelling. We were greeted by Sam like old friends with a pot of tea and home made scones on arrival in the communal sitting room. Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the village green and we made ourselves at home...super king-size bed, en suite shower room and a walk in wardrobe...made me wish we had booked longer! A stroll around the village was lovely surprise for nature lovers...eels and elvers and white clawed crabs as well as fish in the river...birds nesting . After a great sleep, we enjoyed a full English breakfast before waving a cheery goodbye!
