"This was end of Day one on the Coast to Cost bike ride. Staff great, no breakfast included in rate, bike was brought upstairs into room. Great location - it’s a popular working pub with parking so busy until late evening at the weekends. Solid value for money, great room size, could do with some investment to update rooms."

"The staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The food was very good. The hotel is very comfortable, well furnished and very quiet being a little remote. No outside noise and very little noise inside the hotel even with coach parties staying over. Looking forward to my next visit."

"Hotel rooms fab and a great location Food was average re dinner. Breakfast was poor. Bacon wet and under cooked and black pudding was hard and like an ice hockey puck. Staff and management pleasant and helped if you needed it. Limited parking but other parking available local to the hotel."
