"This was simply an awful experience not only could we reach a live person on the phone prior to our trip, no return call then it got worse when we arrived no check in desk no one to greet us or answer any questions. We had to dial a # to let them know we arrived. Staff never to be seen again. Paid 300.00 for the night broken coffee maker, no batteries in spoke detector simply an awful experience "

"This is a great place to stay. Everything was outstanding. I had only 1 issue and that was just a slow draining shower. I told them at the front desk I was leaving for a bit and could they look at it. Indeed when I returned in 2 hours it was working fantastic. Room was very clean, shower was hot and had lots of pressure. I will stay here again for sure if I pass through Maine in the future. Very nice and courteous staff all the way around as well. "Great location, lots of history and character, and we enjoyed our stay overall. We had a room in the carriage house, and had a few issues with the TV not working, and the upstairs neighbor arriving and making plenty of noise at 1-2am, but the beds are comfy and the restaurant is excellent!"

"We had an easy time checking in and the room was clean upon arrival. There was a smell on the floor that we stayed in, but it wasn’t consistent throughout the hotel. Breakfast area was clean and restocked consistently. We would have preferred longer breakfast hours."

"Honestly the place wasn’t bad, I just needed a one night stay after surgery so I didn’t require many amenities. It was clean and bed was comfortable. The only bad thing is that the rooms are no where near sound proof. You can hear every single thing happening in the hallway and in the rooms next door. I woke up multiple times in the night thinking someone came right in my room but it was only the person next to us opening their own door."

"There is no staff on property, not a big deal. The room was super nice. I did however find a dirty facecloth hanging in the shower curtain. I only stayed one night so I just set it aside. Other than that, room was amazing, clean, smelled great. Soft sheets. Was what I needed for one night. Great price as well."

"The hotel needs updated and cleaned thoroughly. The floors were dirt and sticky feeling and the bathrooms were super small and not clean (shower leaked on the floor). The rooms were musty smelling and damp feeling. Doors would not unlock with keycard and had to go to the office twice to get a key to unlock door to get in."
