The staff seemed allright by no means friendly. Barely spoke and never greeted you at all. Coffee was in short supply. Rooms seemed clean and made up daily. There were lots of kids running around unsupervised which was disturbing. On whole wd would stay again.

Hotel is in a great little town. Quiet area. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit lacking but sufficient - it's a free breakfast so can't complain too much. Check-in was quick and easy, and the owner was very nice and welcoming.

Pictures were inaccurate, not current on website. This hotel is a little run down. Air conditioner did not work in one room and owners did move us to a different room so that was nice. Breakfast had waffles and the coffee was good. Hot tub was not working. We did not use the swimming pool but it was open. We stayed for 2 nights and this hotel did make up the beds and clean room after the first day. All in all rooms were clean and price of hotel was good.

There was no one at desk for check in. I needed to ring phone and this was at 7 pm. No one at checkout and I had to go through a pile of receipts left on desk to find my receipt. The rooms were excellent, clean and it was quiet.

Nice clean hotel, stayed here 3 nights during a hunting trip with the kids. The standard room was very clean and big, more than plenty of room for our coolers and extra luggage. Fridge, microwave, & huge parking lot. Only cons - breakfast wasnt much (didn't need it anyways brought our own) & hot tub/pool room was out of commission

Super clean and comfy!

Great property! Very, very clean. Host/owner was excellent! Thought it was a great value. Room was large and roomy with a great mattress, large bathroom with plenty of towels. Everything was in excellent condition. Would definitely stay here again.

The pool and spa were closed. Our room had stains on some of the furniture and the check in manager was not the friendliest. The bed and room was comfortable and the place was clean and the breakfast was good enough.

Staff is very polite, appears only a "couple" runs and operates the hotel; however, they must be overwhelmed with such a large facility. The headboard did fall off the wall in the middle of the night and strike my husband's head. We informed the hotel's management. We were never asked if he was injured or the possibility of compensation, but we were heading to my mom's funeral, so we just moved on. We were also not overly impressed with the breakfast freshness, but we always understand the difficulty.

We arrived really late and last minute. Check-in was quick. The room was cold, especially the bathroom. Turned up the temperature, and it was really hot. No reasonable middle temp. The hot tub was closed, and the water was yellow. The pool was okay. The breakfast was not the best. Very limited to a few carb items, but you get what you pay for. It fit what we needed, but definitely not the 8.2 rating that Expedia gave it.

I stayed here on a Saturday night and thought it would be a bit busier, but when I pulled up to the hotel, it was really quiet. This had me worried, but the experience inside the hotel was great. The rooms were really nice and clean, and the service was friendly. The couple who own the hotel appeared to be running it themselves without other employees. I saved a lot of money compared to staying in Alexandria. Only negatives were the exterior-- the "AmericInn" sign was missing (maybe got blown apart in a storm), and there were a few weeds growing in the parking lot.

Pros: Good price, clean, good shower pressure. Cute restaurant and brewery right next door. Con: TV did not work and the property manager did not try to fix it or look at it when i called down to ask. No one was ever at the front desk. Breakfast was very sub par ( example no cream cheese for bagels, no jelly for toast).

Trouble checking in

The room was clean and roomy. Bed was comfortable. Nice long counter in the bathroom. Skimpy with the soap and shampoo. Check in was a little shaky as hotels.com charged our credit card but their payment to the hotel errored so we weren’t able to check in until they straightened it out with the hotel front desk. It took awhile to reach hotels.com but once we reached them they told us to pay the hotel the whole bill and they would reimburse us.

Odd experience with little value.

Check-in was interesting as no one was there and after 3 calls of dialing "0" some one walked in the front door. Was checked-in with limited words and overview of policies, breakfast, etc. Just a weird experience. Room was clean with OK comfort. Packet of shampoo was a new to me for a $160/night room in a small MN town. Overall, not a good value for a hotel.

Beware of the pool!!! I have no idea what they have in it but it is not just chlorine in my opinion. My husband had a blue shirt on which has faded to almost pink. Two others bathing suits totally faded. Two in our party had terrible burning in there eyes and had to get drops. Their eyes were still swollen the next day. The motel was very clean and quiet. The staff was not friendly at all
