"To be honest, we had a few issues during our stay. The first room we were allocated had air-conditioning that made loud noise and TV didn’t work. We were moved to another room for our second night only after I asked in the morning and followed up again in the afternoon, which was OK. Unfortunately, this room was not overly soundproof and at 4:30am in I was woken up to the sound of the person next-door playing very loud music. "Location is excellent. The hotel is showing its age. The tv is limited to foxtel which precludes streaming from platforms such as YouTube and ABC Iview and also does not allow mirror streaming.There is no music device which should be standard. I would also expect a coffee making device in a hotel of this quality. The staff and level of service is very good. I would highly recommend this hotel despite my minor quibbles as listed"

"Hip boutique hotel in a fantastic location. There’s no shortage of bars, cafés, and eateries along Brunswick Street. The room was the perfect size for a solo traveller, and the bed was very comfortable. One thing to note is that there’s no gym in the building. I really enjoyed my stay and would be more than happy to return."

"We had a wonderful stay at Dorsett Melbourne. The location was excellent, with everything within easy walking distance, making it perfect for a little family staycation.
