Hotel Des Arenes has two main attractions: 1) excellent staff, who are friendly, polite, and helpful; and 2) very convenient location, near two metro stations, several eating options, and some tourist attractions.

Quiet, weIl located hotel rue Monge. Rooms are very clean, recently renovated and well appointed. Front desk is very customer friendly. A great place to stay for a week end or short week vacation.

Small but clean and adequate
Hotel was very clean, but older and very small. I know this is typical for Paris, but a little upgrade would be nice. Location was perfect for us and we were only there to sleep. Looks like there is a slightly nicer hotel, 2 doors down for more money.

The vow from our room our first time in Paris
Prime location, walked almost everywhere plus there’s two metro stations within a block either way, we had a laundromat and a pharmacy also a block away and shops and restaurants within walking distance, Our stay was a success we were very happy with the overall experience, our room was spacious, the bathroom a little tighter than we’re use to but nice and clean, with plenty of hot water, the front desk service and assistance top notch, and we enjoyed the breakfast spread as well.

The hotel was very nice, clean, quiet and everybody was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in 51 Rue Monge, 75005 Paris, France. The nearest metro station was 1/2 block away and was very convenient. What I liked more about the hotel were the employees, especially the administrators in the reception area. They were extremely friendly, ready to answer whatever questions I had. I had lots of interesting conversations with Vincent and Jacob. They catered to my needs like old friends during my 3-week stay. I am planning of combing back and staying at this hotel again in 2024. I highly recommend Hotel Des Arenes.

Very nice and courteous staff. Always willing to help! This hotel is right on the site of a 1st century Roman gladiator arena!! Easily walkable to many attractions in the Latin Quarter. Pantheon, Jardin Des Plantes,.etc.. This is a great place to stay!!!

Excellent staff, quaint quiet hotel with 24 hour staff. Metro, breakfast, within a block. Fantastic restaurants and bars just two blocks up the street. Amazing restaurants and local night life, Pantheon is a short walk and Norte Dame is down the street 5 blocks. Situated in the Latin Qtr, La Maris area 4 blocks down. Very local vibe.

Front desk was so helpful and spoke English, ordered us taxi’s, went out of their way to help! Night time was very scary for my daughter as someone was banging on the door (either ours or our neighbours) very loudly at 1:15 AM.

I will say that the very best part of this hotel is the location. We were able to have a very lovely few days in Paris because this was located in a good place. The bed was comfortable, and our window opened onto a large courtyard which was very picturesque. However, there wasn’t really a shower, more realistically a bath, which was a bit difficult to use at times. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

Wonderful service, 24 hour reception and a hotel with character. Had an amazing sleep on the comfy beds. The only two complaints were the shower (it was installed really low at hip level for some reason, but water pressure was great and had a detachable head so workable) and the paper thin walls (we just accepted this as it was a really old building).

We enjoyed our stay. A great location. The staf f was friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean. The decor is utilitarian, but we didn't travel to Paris to hang out in the hotel. Right behind the hotel is a park that includes the ruins of the Roman amphitheater of Lutece (ancient Paris). Grab a cof fee and a baguette nearby and enjoy it in the park. I would definitely stay here again.

This budget hotel is in a great location. The rooms are tiny, as usual for Paris, but have everything you need. I particularly appreciated the fridge, which let me keep snacks on hand. My only complaints are that the air conditioning was not turned on yet in late May, which meant I needed open windows = road noise every night. Also, expect functional rather than charming room decor. Think budget business hotel.

The property is located on the main road so you are very near to the eating joints and other shops and services. There is a superstore and pharmacy across the street. The room was small but has almost everything you need like a mini fridge and a safe, almira, good beddings and a mini bathtub in the bathroom. If they can add an electric kettle in the room it will be great plus. The metro station is also near by and notre dame is 15-20 mins walk away max. The neighborhood seemed very safe and quiet but at night you you can hear some cars going by but it's not something which bothered us. We only were able to talk to the people at the reception all of them very nice and polite. The gentleman at the time of the checkout was super friendly and offered us recommendations for the rest of our trip in france which was very helpful. Overall very happy with stay will come back whenever I visit paris again.

Super friendly front desk staff. The location is terrific if you like a little walking or to use the Metro -- close to two lines and within a mile of a lot of the major sites. Very clean, and kept clean every night, which is a little unusual post-COVID. A little worn around the edges, maybe? Fewer outlets than a modern place and the comforter was a little frayed. Conversely the room was a little more spacious, very quiet, despite being directly over a fairly busy street. Later checkout time was terrific, since I got to poke around the city some more and still come back for last minute things before heading out to the airport. If you want someplace fancy? Go elsewhere. Want a clean, safe, central place staffed by nice folks? Worth every euro.

Hotel Des Arenes is conveniently located in the Latin Quarter close to many dining places. It is also close to the Metro station. The rooms are quite small, but it is to be expected for hotels in Paris. The front desk is very helpful with directions for dining as well as reservations for taxis.

Due to an issue with another hotel, we made a last minute booking at Hotel des Arenes. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the hotel manager went out of his way to accommodate us. We had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a simple stay in the Saint Germain des Pres district with clean bathrooms and excellent and helpful concierge staff!

Very nice people nice room nice location close to two farmers markets you have to Google the days they are opened. It is in the latin quarter. If you have teenage kids they can play in the back in the arena with other kids

Small hotel with surprisingly roomy (considering it is a 3 stars in paris, where most hotel rooms are just around 12 SQM),well appointed and comfortable rooms. Aircon was welcome. Hotel staff is nice and welcoming, and providing efficient support with taxi bookings. Hotel is conveniently located on Rue Monge, a 2 minutes walk from 2 metro stations. Hotel has 6 floors, served by a small lift, so expect some waiting time when everybody checks out at 11 AM.

20th Anniversary Vacation
We really enjoyed Hotel des Arenes. Although a typically small French hotel room, it was basic but clean, the AC worked quite well. Location was fabulous with many shops and cafes around. The ancient Roman Lutece arena in the backyard (literally) was a fabulous place to sit and watch local kids play sports. The front desk staff were very accommodating. Breakfast, however, left a lot to be desired. Not very good. Taxis were easy to catch on rue Monge, but there were at least 3 nearby Metro stations. Not too far from Latin Quarter and St-Germain-des-Pres.

Hotel staff was so friendly and nice. Room is clean and nice. Bathroom really nice as well. Room and bathroom are a little small but not bad at all. Literally in the best location possible. Right next to multiple metro stations, cafes, landmarks and everything. Really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend.

Staff was most accommodating. They were helpful getting taxi's and local information such as where to get Covid tests. Bed was comfortable. Tub/Shower was awkward and hazardous getting in and out. Breakfast in the cellar was good. Breakfast staff was most accommodating and ready to provide what was needed. Except for the tub, great place.

Nice Hotel in Great Area
We have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed the stay much. Our room was on the 5th floor with nice street view. It was very clean and supplied with everything needed, and the most important point , warm in cold Paris days; a bit small for 2 person with 2 big bags though. But I read that it is normal for Paris, so not a big deal. The location is just perfect, only 2 mins to 2 metro lines, 15 mins walking distance to Notre Dame de Paris, Luxembourg Gardens, 20 mins to Louvre and so on. Mr. Yakup on reception was extremely helpful, gave advise about metro cards and etc. Overall, I definitely would prefer it next time in Paris.
