I had a bad experience since when i was there, the hotel was under rehabilitation. Noise from builders early morning around 7am made me hard to sleep.
There was no replacement bath towels or soap and shampoo for the 5 days I spent there. But the location is good and it is near to Metro station where it can take you anywhere you want around Paris
This hotel was conveniently located near the Chapelle /Gare Du Nord metro station and multiple eating places. The staff was courteous and polite. The room was very small but comfortable but lacked cleanliness. As soon as I entered the room, I smelled piss (urine) and that smell did not go away during my three nights of stay there. The towels were not that clean either. I hope the hotel management fixes this problem.
The room was tiny and basic (though adequate for the price), but the place could do with an upgrade: there is a tired look about it, and various small bits were not quite the way they should be: the only proper hanger broke when I tried to use it for my coat, and some of the lights were not working. The hotel is just about OK if you just want somewhere quiet to sleep close to the Gare du Nord, but it did not have anything that would make me recommend it in more positive terms - though in all fairness, there was nothing to complain about either: you get what you pay for.

It is a very basic place,if you are arriving and departuring from Gare du nord it is a very convenient place to stay since it is just a 10 min walk from the station,i stayed there with my 9 year old daughter and i had no problems whatsover, when it comes to comfort i cannot say it was good. Beds ok but not comfortable. Many dodgy looking people in the area selling cigarettes near and around the square but nobody bothered us.downstairs on the way to the rooms they have a fridge, microwave and a kettle for guests to use which was a bonus.you can bring your drinks, cheese etc and store there to consume when you come back from a day exploring Paris.
There is a Metro station 2 minute walk from the place which makes things really easy.
For the price i would stay here again if i am arriving at gare du nord. You can also walk from there to the sacre couer.
If you need a place to crash for a few days and they are not charging a lot a the time of the booking it is worth staying there,if they are charging more than 60 euros i would stay somewhere else
The hotel is ok. But the area not so much.
Wouldn't go back.

Ok to stay a night
If you’re looking for somewhere cheap then here might be for you but don’t expect too much. It is very basic and the area is a little rough so it can get quite noisy outside
The hotel was fine, the room a little small and the hotel in general really basic considering what you are paying but Paris is expensive and it was the weekend . The staff were perfectly friendly. The area looked pretty sketchy with every brasserie and Street corner full of young guys with nothing to do although to be fair a didn't feel in any way threatened or hassled despite me and my wife really looking like tourists and a bit lost. The metro is just around the corner and all the sights are a couple of euros away.

Hotel stay
I stayed at the Hipotel Paris Gare du Nord Merryl from Sat 03 Sept - Thur,08 Sept.
The reception was friendly and weloming, however there was no option for breakfast.
For a 2 star hotel the room was clean and comfortable and for a solo traveller, I enjoyed my stay.
Stayed here to watch the champions league final. Not great facilities and the bedroom smelt damp.shower and toilet unpleasant and not in great condition.
I had a very nice time staying at the Hipotel Hotel. Amazing front man with very helpful advice on the locality and transportation around Paris. Amazing Hospitality. Had a lovely time and would definitely stay again.
I have stayed at this hotel before and I know that it is quite basic but I am very glad for the reasonable prices they offer. I was disappointed that I didn’t get hot water the second time I took a shower... when I mentioned it to the receptionist he said it can’t be that I must have turned the tap the wrong way... luckily the hot water was back in the morning...
Simple nice room. The staff that helped us when we checked in was very pleasant and helpful. Thankful for the simple and nice place for two nights. Thank you
It was terrible. Described much better than it was, me and my partner actually checked out within 20 minutes of staying there. The location was dodgy we felt like we were going to get mugged every time we went outside. The toilet smelt awful, the tv felt like it was going to electrocute us before falling off the wall. Stay far away from this hotel it is a complete scam
What it says on the website in reality it is totally different. The area is dangerous and the hotel is dirty. For three nights I stayed over I had to change rooms three times.

A propriedade não está em condições, pode se observar falharas nas paredes e nas escadas. A localização é muito má
I’m disappointed with Hotels.com I don’t believe they have this hotel in their list!
1. The hotel has a really Dangerous neighborhood. It’s next to a huge metro station but people there stare at you and it’s not safe walk around.
2. When we got to the room we found the bathroom really dirty with trash on the sink. Really disgusting.
We even complained at the front desk and they promised to change our room but I was so scared that we checked out and changed the hotel.
We lost a lot of money since we booked for 7 days and we couldn’t cancel the booking. But we couldn’t stand there for any more minute.
So IF YOU a want to ENJOY Paris, don’t book at this hotel!
The hotel was only a 10 minute walk from gare du Nord, which was really handy for the metro and Eurostar, however the walk through the local area was quite terrifying with gangs on every corner. The hotel staff were helpful and pleasent but the room was really outdated and the bathroom and separate toilet were tiny!
Awful! It's a shame. Lift was not working (guest had to carry her heavy suitcase up to the 4th Floor) Very narrow staircase. Room extremely small and noisy. Mice looking after guest's biscuits. Location: OK
I was only staying for one night and wanted to be near Gare du Nord. For some reason, the hotels were running much higher than normal. This was the cheapest option. I was only looking for a clean bed to sleep. That's what I got. That's the only thing I got. No complaints because I am fully aware that you get what you pay for. The property is in what some might consider a "bad neighborhood" but I never felt unsafe. It is less than a block from the La Chapelle stop on the #2 train and one stop from Gare du Nord or a ten minute walk. Could not beat the location.
People pleasant but needed to move room due to there being a mouse sharing. The immediate area around the hotel could do with being cleaned of both rubbish and hoards of rather unsavoury people particularly at night selling cigarettes and goodness knows what else
It’s location is in a ghetto area. Scary walking at night with my family, even during the day on a Saturday. The sheets were dirty. We were only given one towel to begin with, asked for more but they didn’t have any more towels or pillows because it’s a “busy night.” Location was bad overall.
