The only disappointing part of the stay is that breakfast does not start until 9am, which for us was too late as we needed to get on with the day. If breakfast is a 8am start would have given the b&b a 5star. "

"We agreed with some of the other reviews, that it a bit quirky in parts. Bits are a bit old fashioned, but everything is very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Only real negative was that things that would be easy and cheap to fix were not done, things like squeaking doors and replacing blackened silicone sealant around the bath. "Great little find. Nothing really local in terms of walking distance, but well equipped rooms with double glazing, heating and air con, comfy beds and friendly service. Fantastic food that locals travel specifically for - would stay again if in the area."

"We chose this hotel based on its proximity to Tintagel and Port Isaac. In the end, we decided not to go to Tintagel but we would go to Port Isaac. The bus to Port Isaac stops a short 2-3 min walk from the hotel and after trying to get to Port Isaac in the past and encountering fords (water) and very narrow country lanes, the bus was certainly a great option. "The proprietors were welcoming and very helpful with dietary intolerances. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food was tasty and plentiful, proper food, not that novelle cuisiine nonsense. The beer was well-brewed and truly tasty. The parking was a bit cramped but nothing that any reasonably competent driver could not cope with. We would definitely stay there again."
