"The room was clean and decorated beautifully, the bedding and pillows were so cosy and soft and much needed on a cold evening! Staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. Had dinner which was worth every penny and a generous portion, and the same for breakfast. It’s a steep walk up to Port Isaac but not as bad as it looks, if you turn right at the car park at the top of the hill you can walk along a path with great views that leads to a nice ice cream shop. Lovely touch of dry robes in the bedroom cupboard to be used if needed, we were very lucky with the weather so didn’t need them but would’ve been handy if a bit cold and wet! "
"Staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable and clean. The window frames could do with some bleach. The breakfast was good. The building is amazing. It is also a comfortable walk to the centre. We really enjoyed our stay."
"We stayed here for two nights in February as part of a mini break to see old friends and visit the Eden Project for the first time. We arrived early intending to have lunch whilst waiting for our keys but to our delight the room was ready early. We had a light lunch in the restaurant with our friends which was of a good standard.
We had requested a wheelchair accessible room as my wife is disabled and we were very impressed with the large size and quality of the room and the facilities within, especially the bathroom. We can honestly say it is the best disabled friendly hotel room we have ever stayed in. The only slight drawback was that it could only be accessed by wheelchair via a dimly lit external path as there is no lift from the reception area to the lower floors but we were happy to put up with this considering the lovely nature of the room, which had an estuary facing patio area. We understand that consideration is being given to converting a room on the ground floor close to the bar.
All members of staff that we interacted in were extremely helpful and courteous and I made good use of the pool, sauna and steam room on both days.
All in all, we had a most enjoyable stay and would definitely stay here again if visiting the area."
"The room was very clean and very quaint, but also very quiet. Room five has a lovely bathroom the only thing that very slightly let it down was the shower control isn't thermostatic so slight pressure variances from other rooms do cause the odd cold shock moment.
Food is good and there's an interesting choice of beers."
"Room was lovely and very spacious, staff were friendly and helpful, gym and pool area were top notch, very scenic area, felt very relaxing and quiet, we had a lovely stay and would come again. Only slight issue was the bed was advertised as a king but it was two singles which was a bit uncomfortable in the middle, but we were very happy with our stay"
