My experience at this resort was unfortunately underwhelming. The elevators were a constant source of frustration, closing too quickly and making it difficult to load and unload luggage. Despite a posted warning, holding the doors open seemed to be the only way to avoid getting trapped or leaving items behind. Upon entering our room, we noticed signs of mold on the ceiling, which was quite concerning. The dishes in the kitchenette appeared unwashed, with visible spots and even remnants of food from previous guests. While the parking garage was adequate, it felt a bit tight for our mid-size SUV. The most alarming incident occurred at the Soggy Dog Pool Grill and Bar. Our waitress disappeared after taking our order, and after a while, we found her passed out behind the counter. With no staff or security in sight, I had to call 911. Although she eventually regained consciousness, the experience was extremely unsettling and left me feeling unsafe. Overall, this resort fell short of expectations in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, and staff attentiveness. The safety concerns I experienced were particularly troubling. Based on my stay, I would not recommend this resort.

High-rise condo without internet connection

Unit 2202 was spacious, clean, and had a great view of the white beach! The kitchen was fully stocked. And we had access to washer/dryer. The only thing I didn't like about the place is the lack of internet connection. I tried to contact Panhandle Getaways about it to no avail. We even found the modem inside a closet. This place would have been ideal if only they have internet connection as they advertised as having one. I was disappointed since I brought my laptop to finish some work.

Filthy, nasty dirty place.

We stayed at unit #1402. This is a privately owned condo, that was falsely sold sold to us as a 3 bedroom, 5 beds unit when it actually is 2 bedroom, 4 beds unit. We have stayed at The Sunrise Condominiums at least 5 times and we know the difference between 2 and 3 bedroom unit in this building. Not only this unit was falsely advertised by Expedia, it also had tons of hidden miscellaneous fees totaling 80% of the lodging. On top of that, when we arrived we were surprised by the cleanliness of this unit - dust all over, pizza leftovers in the fridge, broken dishwasher, broken ice-maker, no Wi-Fi internet connection. All this was addressed to Expedia at our arrival but Expedia did nothing but asking us to call Panhandle Getaways. After more than 5h on the phone, Panhandle Getaways offered us a refund if we leave - at 8pm, with a reservation booked 10 days in advance, in a crowded resorts with no room available... Since we were left with no other option, we stayed in this disgusting condo and 2 days after, our son got a stomach virus due to the cleanliness of this place. The unit has not been renovated probably since it was build. See the attached pictures. I am sorry I cant attached more - max 5 allowed. I will never recommend this unit and anything offered by Panhandle gateways, even if it's sold by Expedia. This was a false advertising with hidden fees and charges and no one did anything to fix it. No one ever explained to us what were those made up fees for either.

Nice place close to beaches and shops.

We we went for six days and enjoyed walking on the beach seen the sunset and the sunrise the place is nice and close to the beach which allows you to get up every morning and walk places also close to restaurants and shopping. The pier isa nice walk and a lot of cool things to do and see there
