  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

The staff were absolutely great. My issue is with Expedia. We booked in the app based off of the photos and information provided in Expedia. When we arrived, the hotel was under construction. Many of the amenities were closed and the hotel was in complete disarray. Nowhere in the Expedia description did it state that. We had some issues with a hotel booking prior to reserving our stay here. Long story short, we were left with very few options and it was late at night after trying several area hotels. We decided to try and stay at comfort inn as a last resort regardless of the construction. Our room wasn’t even complete from the recent remodel. No furniture other than the beds and a makeshift nightstand were provided with the room. There was even exposed plumbing stubs coming out of the wall. The room reeked of fresh paint and carpet glue and there was drywall dust all over the place. We stayed one of two nights, but after waking up with a sore throat and a pounding headache from the fumes, we opted to check out and try to find a new hotel for our final night. Upon check out, the staff was very polite and agreed to refund our second night, bout because we booked through Expedia, we were told we had to process the refund through Expedia. After speaking with Expedia, I received an email the next day rejecting the refund even after Comfort Inn approved it. I will never book with Expedia again. Highly disappointed. Stick with booking directly with your hotel of choice!
