"That hotel was a kind of shock for us. I have to admit that room was clean and comfortable, but it is a small roadside motel, rather than hotel, in a very unattractive area. No amenities at all. Room’s window faced a wall. Other rooms face a loud and busy street, so we were actually lucky. It was OK for us to spend a night on our road trip, but definitely do not recommend."

"It was a perfect stay, not only because of the five star ratings I just gave for cleanliness, attentiveness, affordability and location, but because of Jade, and her generosity as as the Surf Inn’s representative. Her welcome. Her goodbye, the spread she put out for breakfast for me and only one other guest. She’s a keeper. I’ve stayed at the Surf Inn often and have always enjoyed it. This stay was special because of Jade."

"We got one of the less expensive rooms and it was as good size with a fireplace and a huge bathroom. Staff was really friendly. The fire smores and movie at night was a nice touch. Great hot breakfast every morning, nice hot-tub, beautiful surroundings, and very quiet and peaceful. "

We had the perfect amount of space in our cabin for two people and two dogs, and loved the option to have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on our own little deck. We can’t wait to stay again! "Parking in front of motel door. There was lots of freeway noise during the night. I probably noticed because I'm a light sleeper. Everything else was great. Clean room and comfortable bed."
