"We stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort in St. Maarten and unfortunately the first room we were given was very disappointing. It clearly needed renovation, everything looked old and scratched, there was no hot water, and the bathroom is in serious need of a full update. Even the fridge was very outdated and not appealing. This left us with a very negative first impression and affected our first day. We requested to be moved and were given another room, which was much better. It appeared newly renovated, clean, and everything worked properly. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The view from the balcony overlooking the sea was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the beach. The cats around the property were also a nice touch. Overall, the experience was mixed, the initial room was very poor, but the second room, along with the location, beach, and friendly staff, improved the stay significantly."
