"My family and I have stayed at the Brookstreet Hotel on six different occasions over the years, and it has always been a place we’ve looked forward to visiting. Because of those consistently great experiences in the past, I felt it was important to reach out and share some concerns about our most recent stay.
Prior to our arrival, my credit card had unfortunately been compromised. I called the front desk ahead of time to ask if there was any flexibility regarding the security deposit. I was told there was nothing that could be done and that a credit card was required. While I understand policies are in place for a reason, the interaction felt somewhat dismissive and set a disappointing tone before we even arrived. Upon arrival the front desk told me there was absolutely no issue putting the $200 charge on debit , which took my be surprise and upset me a little as I rushed around for 24hrs prior to get a credit card setup and activated so I could pay the deposit, which ultimately I did NOT need to do.
When we checked in and arrived at our room, there were several dirty plates and room service trays sitting outside our door. I called the front desk to have them removed, but an hour later they were still there. After calling again, they were finally cleared — but only after approximately three and a half hours had passed.
Later that evening we ordered room service. Unfortunately, the drinks that were delivered were not what we ordered, and the cookies we received were complet"
