Great Hotel In Great Location

Really nice hotel with a comfortable room and very good breakfast. All the staff were very nice and check in was quick and easy. The hotel is also in a great location in the centre of town.

Great location

The breakfast is quite good and included in the rate. The hotel location is fantastic, right in the centre of Oslo. However the room is really really small and the look and feel is that of an old cheap place

Perfect location for a city trip to Oslo. Good location, reasonably affordable, very good breakfast, friendly staff. Just park your car somewhere way outside of the center, because that's just ridiculously expensive.

Room layout was poor, meaning two people with a case each will not enjoy the room at all... more like playing tetris from the inside. Had to climb over the bed to get to the other side due to duct at floor level on the far side of the bed. Hopefully other rooms in hotel are not as bad as 313.

Lovely, clean, comfortable hotel centrally located in Oslo. Would definitely recommend staying if you're here for a break. Staff are fantastic and I want to make special mention of Ramzes who helped me out when I checked in. I was having issues with my phone and needed to book rail tickets to Sweden but Ramzes was amazing and helped me get these booked. These tickets had to be booked there and then from my perspective and he simply translated for me and took me through the whole process. Excellent customer service and it helped me out immensely. Not only this but three days later, not only did Ramzes recognise me when I came back, but also remembered my name! That is a sign of someone who is excellent at their job and his welcoming nature makes you feel at home. Thank you Ramzes, you really made my stay at Scandec Karl Johan very enjoyable

Hôtel très bien situé à proximité des centres d'intérêts d'Oslo. Petit-déjeuner avec beaucoup de choix et très bon, les plats salés pourraient être un peu plus chaud. La chambre standard n'est pas très grande avec seulement un lit pour se poser.

Dårlig ventilasjon og avkjølingsmuligheter

Dårlig ventilasjon på bad noe som sannsynligvis er grunnen til at dusjen så skitten/ muggen ut. Varmt på rommet og det eneste tiltaket man har er å sette vinduet på gløtt. Ellers fornøyd, god frokost!

Søvnløs i varmen

Har bodd på Scandic Karl Johan flere ganger,men aldri midt på sommeren og hetebølgen.Det ble en veldig varm opplevelse.Aircondition er kanskje utopi,men hva med en fungerende vifte i hvert rom?Fikk låne en bordvifte i resepsjonen,men det var skrøpelig og ramlet fra hverandre hvert 10.minutt.Det blir sikkert ikke den siste hetebølgen,kanskje være litt forberedt?Savnet også et lite kjøleskap i rommet. Hotellet har fin beliggenhet,hyggelig personale og variert og velsmakende frokost men disse søvnløse nettene i supervarmt rom gjorde at det ble en svak treer.

Bodde på familierom. Siden det er midt i sentrum er det mye bråk ute og en skulle gjerne hatt vinduene åpne men siden det ikke er aircondition på hotellet. Blir vel som å velge mellom pest eller kolera... Dårlig nattesøvn blir det uansett...
