Whether you want to shop 'til you drop in the big shopping centre, relax on the beach or go to a concert at Telenor Arena, Fornebu is the perfect place for you.

There is so much to experience in one place when on holiday in Fornebu. Located just outside Oslo, here you'll find the city's finest beach, a large shopping centre with over 80 shops and restaurants, and also the Telenor Arena, which hosts major international concerts and artists.

Until 1998, Oslo's main airport was in Fornebu, but since the main airport moved to Gardermoen, there have been major changes in the area. Whilst it's a popular place for establishing the head offices of large companies, there are also many beautiful parks, like Nansenparken, and green belt areas frequented by both residents and tourists alike.

Go to Fornebu S if you're on a weekend shopping trip. This shopping centre boasts a wide range of shops to suit all tastes, so if you're looking for a new wardrobe, electronic gadgets, a fine dining experience in one of the many restaurants or eateries or even perhaps a new pair of trainers, Fornebu S is the place for you.

Summer in Fornebu means enjoying lazy days on one of Oslo’s finest beaches – Storøyodden badestrand. The beach has received blue flag certification from the EU, meaning the beach meets the highest water quality safety and environmental management standards. There are also several beach volleyball courts, table tennis tables, showers and kiosks on the beach. There are also beautiful nature trails to explore nearby.

End your trip to Fornebu by visiting Gamle Fornebu Kultursenter. This cultural centre, with its art gallery, museum and café is easy to find by taking the Telenor Fornebu bus as far as the old control tower.

Fornebu is perfect for those who want to be both near Oslo, and also be close to the beach. A quick and comfortable way to travel is the ferry, which travels between Fornebu and the boat harbour in Aker Brygge (Oslo). The beautiful parks and Fornebu's close proximity to the beach make it a wonderful place for your next holiday.
