Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Provided me with a hand-drawn map of the surrounding area and highlighted the shopping and dining areas close by. This hotel is also very close to an airport limousine stop and the subway station. Google Maps will send you to the subway station exit closest to the hotel, but if you're traveling with a lot of luggage, I recommend getting out at the exit with an elevator and start your Google Maps direction from that point, otherwise, you'll be dragging your luggage up multiple sets of stairs to get to the exit. The room I stayed in was very spacious with separate bathrooms, sinks, and toilet. You can't hear your neighbors through the walls at all, so it's great! The staff will not clean the room or refresh your towels if you don't ask for it. Overall the value is great if you can get over the fact that this hotel used to be a love hotel before being converted to a regular hotel.

Staff are friendly and polite, several rooms are quirky and fun, and when a typhoon forced us to stay an extra day, they went above and beyond to help us.

the family room was so big. it has second floor. theres also a jacuzzi but sadly its not working. the beds are dusty. but was so glad that they have parking space for cars. saved us a lot of time and money. :)

It was once a love hotel and is being converted into a normal hotel ... Huge rooms for Japan and massive bathroom ... We had the Totoro room and our friends had the Mickey Mouse room ... Great location close to trains and 25 min walk to Osako Castle ... If you don't need 4 or 5 star and want excellent value for your money, this place is a blast !! ... No breakfasts but plenty of places to eat only a few minutes walk away ... And a great laundromat less than 200 metres away ... Very friendly & helpful staff ... Best place we stayed at in our 2 weeks in Japan

Gem of a hotel
Location was perfect for a quiet stay without hordes. Hotel was brilliant but very simple. Great restoration work has converted it from a love hotel to a theme hotel. We had an Alice in Wonderland room.

The hotel was very very dirty (do not look at your mattress or under anything if you have to stay there), and the room was not as described on Expedia. We booked a king bed and got a double. I tried to say something, but the front desk lady kept insisting it was a king.we had booked a non-refundable rate and had no money left so had no choice but to stay. I don’t recommend it at all.

For an inexpensive place their service was overall nice & the staff members were nice as well. However when we arrived to our rooms it was not what we expected it. The rooms were nicely themed decorated however the AC unit did not work & the air felt dry in the room the entire night until I opened the window. I tried to take a bath in their huge bath tub to relax my foot after all the walking however the bath tub was not hot enough nor did the water stay in the tub. I’d say for a one night stay just to rest it’s ok, but not to book for a vacation stay.

Old hotel in good location
This is a love hotel - the rooms are brightly coloured but very spacious. Good staff, great WIFI, huge bathroom, but bed was a small double. It can get a bit noisy, had an old AC wall unit that was a little loud. Rooms are only cleaned on request. 5 min walk to train line to get you everywhere in Oaska.

This is advertised as a theme hotel with the choice to stay in the pink hotel roonl shown as an option, however we were allocated an old, dated room instead. We were told the room shown was a larger room and not available to us as it was not what we paid for. Very confusing. It was fairly close to location s only via subway. Definitely not close to Osaka castle as described.

Yes the room is bigger than normal hotels in Japan, but the room felt so dirty. We made it through because it was only for one night. There were no windows at all in our room, only a glass panel with lighting behind it to make it feel like a window. Definitely has that cheesy, eeky love motel feel. Location was okay, about 10-15 min walk in either direction to the nearest metro station. Next time I'll pay a little more for a cleaner, smaller room.

The rooms were all non-smoking but there is a smoking area in the corridor which meant the whole place smelt of smoke. We stayed 5 nights but there was no cleaning of the room at all by the hotel staff, there was no instructions on how to get cleaning service either. We couldn't be bothered to ask at the front desk and was happy to let it be. On a plus side, the room was very spacious, it was Hello Kitty themed with a piano as well even though we didn't request it. It was also only 5 minutes walk from the nearest tube station.

Roomy Hotel in Osaka
The Hotel Candy Hall was an inexpensive, roomy stay in Osaka. We only stayed in a single "Love Hotel" while in Japan, so we really don't have anything to compare our stay against, but we found it pleasant. The room was surprisingly roomy for how little it cost, and while it was showing some signs of age, we couldn't find anything to complain about. The theme aspect of the room was pretty cool, but don't book a reservation expecting some sort of elaborate, crazy decorations. It's best to think of it as a hotel room with interesting twist, instead of a theme-park with a bed in it.

Give this hotel a try as there's some previous reviews that it had done with some renovations and converting from adult to family hotel. Got a family room with 1 king bed and 2 Futon bed. However the room was not very clean and old. Toilet and shower are separate but there's no lock for the door. For the price we paid, I find it reasonable with the location and spacious area. Family mart is within 2mins walk and there's KFC, shopping center and transport within 10mins walk. FYI, the lift is very very small....

Love hotel-nicer than you would expect. Large beds
They call it a love hotel but, its not anything bad. The rooms are more spacious and have more amenities than the typical hotel. the staff does not speak English very well but, they do try to be accommodating. It is not far from the train station. I would stay here again.

Good local small hotel
It was difficult to find the hotel as the billboard sign of the hotel name was in Japanese. The English billboard is located on the eye level right at the entrance though. The hotel is nice and cosy. The room size is rather decent while considering flats are usually small in Japan. The pillow is too firm though, and the overhead board of the bed can be clearer. It was full of dust. Good location. 5 mins walk from Subway. about 2000 yen taxi ride from Namba station. Not bad Overall the stay was pleasant :)
