"I recently stayed at Toyoko Inn Tokyo Fussa Station Higashi and found it to be a solid, convenient option for a short stay in the area.
The biggest advantage is the location. Being right next to Fussa Station made getting around Tokyo and the surrounding areas incredibly easy. There are also plenty of dining options, convenience stores, and even a nearby supermarket, so everything you need is within walking distance. The hotel offers several practical amenities that add value, including free breakfast, on-site parking, and laundry facilities, which were all very convenient during our stay.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, and it was a plus that many of them spoke English, making communication smooth and easy.
That said, there are a couple of downsides to be aware of. The breakfast area gets very crowded, especially with foreign tourists, so it often felt more comfortable to bring food back to the room rather than eat in the dining area. Additionally, the rooms are quite small compared to typical American hotel standards, which may be a consideration if you’re traveling with a lot of luggage or prefer more space.
Overall, Toyoko Inn Tokyo Fussa Station Higashi offers great value for its location and amenities, especially for travelers looking for convenience and affordability."
"SMOKING ROOM ASSIGNED IN THIS DAY AND AGE????
Small letters "smoking room" past my reading but WHO IN THE WORLD SELLS SMOKING ROOMS ?????
FRONT DESK showed no emotions , empathy. Pathetic behaviour , not like most of Japanese people."
"Great hotel and staff. Location was fine. Only reason for the low review is the instructions/policies stated for the guest bath include provisions for small tattoos so long as they are covered by the property-provided cover-up sticker. When we arrived, the policy was 'guests with tattoo's are not permitted'. Not too big of an issue, but my wife, with two small tattoos was excited to try the bath as it was her first time in Japan and was unable to enter. Please ensure posted policies like this are consistent for future guests."
"Front desk staff were polite but slightl indifferent, with the exception of one very kind staff member- Tang. She was vmvery attentive and kind. The 7th floor spa and the restaurant's staff were the reason why I gave this place 5 stars instead of 4. The entire restaurant staff made my stay delightful and warm. The food was simply but delightful. And there was one memorable elderly Japanese woman who made me feel just at home with her smiles and energetic conversation- despite not understanding one word!
The views of the mountains and the stream were great to wake up to each morning and the hot springs on the top floor were something I looked forward to each night of my stay. I dont know if the water was truly a hot springs natural water, but nevertheless it was clean, and the different temperatures of each bath pool were very relaxing. Thank you Kamenoi for a terrific stay! All of the guests were Japanese, making it understanding that no one really spoke English! But again, a terrific stay."
