"What a wonderful hotel this is. When we first arrived, we were a bit skeptical as the hotel may look a bit dated, however, it is a wonderful property and one of the best hotels we’ve stayed on. We stayed in a room that had its own bath overlooking the mountains and I could not recommend that option enough. Being able to have a bath first thing in the morning as the sound raises, hearing the birds and looking out at the beautiful mountains is something I’ll remember forever.
Our package included dinner and breakfast and that was such an amazing experience. I was a bit apprehensive as I didn’t know what to expect for the dinner, but all the food was extremely fresh and delicious, it was nice to get out of my comfort zone.
The hotel provided pyjamas and Japanese clothing which we wore for dinner. We also had access to a hotel lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks.
The hotel also offers a shuttle services to the ferry port, although it’s only 10-12 minutes away walking.
It’s located in a beautiful part of the island and I honestly cannot recommend enough to submerge yourself in the Japanese culture. Will definitely come back!"
"This was a great stay. Very modern. Location seems far from town, but is very easy to access via local train and very convenient if you want to see the Miyajima (there is also a ferry from DT to Miyajima).
Onsen is mixed gender and provides bathing suits for guests. There is outdoor and indoor bathing options.
The restaurant is one of the best meals we have ever had. A very special, multi-course dinner that is included in the hotel stay."
"Friendly staff
Shuttle service from ferry to hotel (and vice versa) was very convenient and helpful as there was some mobility issues
The onsen was very pleasant and relaxing and the overall ryokan experience was very enlightening.
The rooms were a bit rustic"
"The public bath is wonderful.
Don’t worry if you forget to make a reservation for breakfast or dinner. I made them the same day. The quality of food is good. The quantity-you will not go hungry 🙃 for sure. The room was clean and comfortable."
"We loved this hotel!
The buffet breakfast was quite extravagant - there were almost too many options!
The hotel has a public bath/sento. It is not tattoo friendly, though I had no issues using it with a tattoo cover. It was just one bath, but it was relaxing.
The room was well layed out and the bathroom was a decent size.
There was a bit of a strange smell in the lobby and common areas when we first arrived, but it disappeared by the next day and must have been a weird fluke occurrence. It didn't bother us any other day. We assume it was maintenance.
It's just a short walk from a tram station and relatively close to the Peace Memorial Park.
Would definitely recommend this place!"
"Everything about this place was wonderful
Free drinks, coffee , patio on roof top
View was amazing
Walking around on the island at night was amazing
Staff at the lobby and restaurant were super kind
Food was excellent
I’d love to be back here again"
"This place was amazing. The local train was maybe 5 minutes away. The showers had great water pressure. This place had super fast WIFI. There was even a “kinda” beach right outside the front of the hotel overlooking the mountains. The restaurant was super yummy. And the staff was very polite. Great place to stay, should I come back this way, I will totally use again."
