"Stay was amazing ! Mr Fukushima was so kind - he helped us with discounted lift tickets, picked us up from the train station and took us grocery shopping. Location was right at the Iwatake gondola. Please note the unit is in traditional Japanese style - sleeping on the floor with Japanese pillows (very different to western pillows). Highly recommend !"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Celecton. I recommend getting the breakfast, it was very convenient as there are no konbini readily close by. We enjoyed using their onsen as well. It was nice to be within walking distance of the castle and is definitely worth visiting. We stayed here as a base for a trip to Tsmago and the Nakasendo trail. "Pros: 5 min walk from Matsumoto station, many restaurants within 5-10min walking distance that’s foreign friendly, brand new hotel facility (beds were firm, staff was very friendly, overall facility very clean), free breakfast (western and American options were available and it was all delicious!), late night snacks (ramen and ice cream) available Cons: depending if there’s a tour group or not - the small/medium sized breakfast area can be very busy until 8:30am and you would need to wait, shower curtain has a musty smell if not aired out properly Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again "
