"Loads of positives to this hotel. Great location (a five minute walk to the main sites: the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia is a couple of minutes further on), the room was really big, it was very clean, the staff were all friendly and helpful and a decent provision for amenities. There were a couple of downsides, too: the place is dated. Very dated. I'd go as far as to say shabby. And while there was aircon, it wasn't massively strong. Istanbul is warm, as you'd expect, so I had to sleep on top of the covers. I only ate breakfast there and it was basic. But plenty of it and a good selection. I think the price I paid for what I got was fair. GBP 135 per night for a big city hotel is reasonable, but that comes at the cost of a less fancy accommodation. Overall, this was a good stay: more about convenience than luxury. If you're not precious about a room's decoration, you'll have a decent stay here."
