"I read in the previous article before booking the hotel that it was about a 13-minute walk from the Blue Mosque square, but the result is this: 13 minutes of walking spent climbing a very steep road until you're out of breath."

"We stayed in late January earlier this year and the hotel was just perfect. Located close to all the major sites, everything was in walking distance including a plethora of restaurants. The hotel itself was welcoming with complimentary treats in the room which was a pleasant surprise and overall staff were helpful. Breakfast was brilliant, offering a wide selection and staff were attentive including Rehmatullah who took his time every morning to check in with us, absolutely lovely gentleman. Can't fault our stay and am looking to book my second stay with them!"

The location was very central and within walking distance to shops and restaurants and major sites like Hagia Sophia Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapı Palace, and Grand Bazaar. "Booked via Expedia, was looking for a hotel in historic Istanbul that had good reviews, this hotel certainly delivered. It's only 7mins walk to Sultanamet Square. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely and the bed was comfortable. Great breakfast too. I highly recommend this hotel. PS. here's also a really good cafe/restaurant directly opposite (Barbarosa), if like us you need food before exploring after arriving late afternoon."

"First off the staff were very accommodating and friendly. There were upper floor noises, they glady changed our room twice. One side wooden, one side concrete. we had three different rooms, 1st rm was on the level floor, it was big, they accommodated two bed request. I feel bad cause the staff were great, but the rooms were not clean to hotel standards. It could be, but it wasn't. they cleaning staff have to give the bathroom and floors a really good cleaning. The hotel rating could be higher if that was the case. The bath towel had a hole in it like the bath towel you wipe your bathroom floor with cause its worn. I really liked the staff and location was good, its all up hill anyway... They could be a really great hotel if the rooms were cleaner. Thank you."

"Great stay on my way to Russia. Restaurant upstairs was really good and had amazing views. I evidently booked a very small room and when I saw it, I asked to upgrade and was willing to pay for it. But, they graciously upgraded me to a gorgeous room with a view for free. I loved the restaurant with a terrace and spanning views of the city (it was a little pricey, but very delicious). Turkish breakfast was plentiful in the mornings. I did get to utilize the spa and booked a scrub treatment. The scrub part could have been a little longer and more rigorous, Hummam part was very nice. A friendly male attendant by the front desk drew a picture of Istanbul with my name on it, I enjoyed chatting with him between my sauna sessions. All in all it was a nice and relaxing stay:)"
