Mixed feelings — great service but terrible standard rooms
The hotel has many strong points — friendly and helpful staff, a fantastic breakfast, and a truly excellent location. However, I’m giving it 3 stars because the standard rooms are just not up to the mark.
All rooms are very small — even for a solo traveler, the space feels cramped. But the standard room I was initially given was especially bad: it faced a blank wall covered in air conditioning units and smelled strongly of kitchen fumes. The room was dark, gloomy, and unpleasant. I couldn’t sleep at all due to the smell and constant noise.
The next day, I asked for an upgrade. The new room had a much better view and was brighter, but still extremely small and clearly in need of renovation. The furniture and finishes felt old and worn. Also, the pillows were very low quality and uncomfortable.
If you care about comfort and modern amenities, I would not recommend booking the standard room — or perhaps this hotel at all. It has potential, but only if you prioritize location over space and room quality.
