"This family-run guesthouse is a good half-hour walk from the train station, although there are buses every hour from 9:00 to 18:00 (6:00pm) that stop at the bottom of the hill. The establishment can sometimes pick you up or drop you off. The shared toilets and bathing facilities are clean and separated by gender, but the tired slippers at the entrance don’t seem like a very hygienic alternative to one’s own shoes… maybe we were spoiled by staying in too many business and apartment hotels and...

"Der Aufenthalt im Ryokan war wunderbar. Wir fanden es schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht gebucht hatten. Die Gastgeberin ist wirklich sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Es gibt verschiedene Services die man kostenlos nutzen kann wie z.B. Yukatas, Süßigkeiten, Tee, Räucherstäbchen und vor allem den Onsen. Der Onsen ist sauber und sehr entspannend. Es gibt einen für Frauen und einen für Männer. In der Zukunft soll noch ein Außenbad hinzukommen. Der Ryokan liegt ungefähr 25 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt...

"Old Showa style minimalistic ryokan, but the room for 5 was spacepus (double room) and the tatami beds and beddings arw comfortable. Self-service to put the futon (which was no problem for us). Power plugs and Wifi were abundant. We were fine with steps but for eldery or disabled it may be a challenge. The hot spring bath was nice. The temperature may be on a hot side but i think it is pretty standard. The tub was indeed made of wood (I assume hinoki).The place seemed to have a fair number of...
