Nostalgic trip
What a walk down memory lane! The last time I was here was as a college freshman with my family, and it is just as I remembered (quaint, friendly, comfy and perhaps the same old rocking chairs on the porch). Now that I’m a senior (I’m not talking school-age here), it was a very nice experience. I really connected with the manager, who grew up in a town adjacent to mine where I rode my bike to the popular pool, went to a university across the street from mine, and also spent time in the same industry. We enjoyed delicious meals at nearby restaurants, had terrific ice cream sundaes at a small shop just a block away whose owner was from the city where I went to college, and walked on the boardwalk to the Asbury Park Convention Center during tropical storm Ophelia (a wet, but fun stroll...pix to prove it). We shall return, given the opportunity.

The Quaker Inn is in a great location. It is very old but maintained. The carpet is very outdated. We had a pleasant stay but it would have been better if it included breakfast. Also my sister was flying in and had a family emergency and had to cancel within the last week and she wrote at least 3 emails as well as a post on FB requesting a credit or partial refund. All requests were unanswered.

Hi Kathleen, We are a Historic Inn, not a bed and breakfast. We do not have cooking facilities. We have a sister hotel a few blocks away that serves breakfast. We did not receive any emails from your sister although we did receive some voice messages that were left on our unattended voicemail. Since we are closed during the week, we tell people not to leave messages but, to email us. Your sister was within our cancellation policy and we did let her try and transfer the room to another friend as we held the room throughout the weekend for her. Travel insurance is the best solution for last minute travel emergencies. Regards.

Old school but nice
We enjoyed our stay. The room was small but cozy. Curious that the wall color was baby blue. Also, just a suggestion to owner, the overhead light was a glaring blue/white. A warmer color bulb would help to make the room a little more inviting. Although there was a small dresser in room a folding luggage stand would be helpful.

Super cute 3-story Victorian-style inn with friendly staff (Jerry!), excellent location close to the beach, restaurants, shops, and all Ocean Grove and Asbury Park have to offer. Very comfortable room with 2 twin beds, good, large bathroom, and multiple porches and balconies for relaxating. They offer beach towels and umbrellas too! This is a must stay!

The Inn was more than I expected, very well maintained. Jerry was very nice and helpful. There was daily chocolate chip cookies and coffee. Beach umbrellas, towels and chairs available for our use. Lovely rocking chairs on the porches to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. Each room even has a fridge.

Excellent stay in this really lovely hotel. Room was perfect for us. Complimentary teas and coffees. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location only two blocks from the excellent sandy beaches. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely time at the Quaker Inn. The service was wonderful. They have towels for you to take to the beach that’s just a couple blocks away. Coffee shops and restaurants just down the block!

Kevin Jerry are total sweethearts who run a top notch, family-owned B&B right off the beach. Place is a classic building that is safe & cheery. Give it a shot! :)

The hospitality was nice upon arrival and we were quickly directed to our room. The room seemed very un-leveled (old building), the quilt provided had strange stains on them, and there was an odor in the closet and drawer space. The pluses were the free toiletries and location to everything in Ocean Grove.

The hosts are great, very professional and helpful. Coffee and tea station were very useful and appreciated. The house is in need of an upgrade. Walls are quite thin between the rooms and the plumbing was quite loud. Great location and acceptable stay overall.

The property was in the middle of a very cute neighborhood, close to the beach, shops and cafes. The inn itself had a cute reception area, but our room was in need of a serious overhaul. The room had a broken dresser, dingy colored walls, a dirty comforter and no decorations Basically a bed and a bathroom The stairs to the room are very narrow and it was challenging to bring up a large suitcase We only stayed one night. The closeness to the beach was the only redeeming quality of this inn.
