"Great location. All rooms face the beach. Adjacent to the pier. At the end of Folly Road. Walk to all the shops and restaurants. They have nice beach chairs for guests. Just check them out/in. One ding … No free coffee except in-room brewer. Continuous improvement suggestion … Rooms are not carpeted. Understand, due to the sand. But a throw/area rug between the beds would be a nice add."

"You really have to be desperate to stay here. In poor repair, dirty, poor tv reception. You’d never expect it as the lobby and breakfast area are updated. However, the bed was comfortable and the water pressure/shower was good."

"The property was pretty secured and clean. I like that cameras were all over in the common areas, and the property was well lit. All staff members were courteous…front desk clerks, food service staff, and housekeeping staff. This may have been the best Home2 we stayed at."

"I was placed in a room adjacent to the ice machine and elevator, even though the hotel was barely occupied. The breakfast was on par with a gas station. I travel frequently for business, and the Hilton name is no longer a mark of quality or comfort. Hilton is the Taco Bell of hotels."

"We loved a one night stay at Riverside cottages. We were there for a graduation from college of Charleston. And our whole family had a beach house at Folly Beach so we decided to just rent one of the bedrooms in the cottages. It was very pleasant. Everything was clean a good night sleep. The bed was comfortable. The next morning was a great surprise. "We have been staying here for many years. It’s comfortable and convenient but is beginning to look and feel “used”. There was some mold in the bathroom, we had no hot water for showering our last morning ….. the front desk said that they would notify maintenance about the water but we were on our way so don’t know if issue got corrected promptly or not. Breakfast is good, fair selection and atmosphere friendly."
