"There are so many bugs! Yes the resort is set in the woods but we didn't expect so many bugs in the rooms! Everything from spiders to rolly bugs to flies.No room service which was surprising for a Hilton and the front desk doesn't tell you. If you open the entry door be quick to close it otherwise the smoke detector goes off due to the quick temperature change. Pool towels had to be checked out and returned from the indoor pool. Otherwise it was nice to have a beach parking lot and the outdoor...

"I found it difficult to use the Keurig coffee maker. Hard to see & to lift up to put in the cups. Also it would be nice if something could be figured out to hold the room door open when rolling in the luggage carrier...especially when a person is alone."

They are very helpful, funny, everyone of their dining suggestions were spot on., and as good as our meals were, breakfast was the best meal of the day. "Great Stay! I was a little concerned with past reviews but figured out that the bad reviews were from the previous hotel. This is a newly taken over Home 2 and what you’d expect from a great Hilton family! It is exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful Oceanfront room with a balcony, kitchenette and easy parking! Room was clean and staff was amazing! We will be back anytime we are in the Outer Banks area!"

"The floors were very sandy. I just checked my credit card and I was charged $200.00 for the pet fee that I was quoted $100.00. Their dog park was full of holes and tall weeds. I asked when they were going to cut the tall weeds and 5 days later the weeds all around the hotel still hadn’t been cut. For a Marriott that place needed a lot of maintenance work inside and outside. The breakfast was okay and the clean up ladies were very nice."

The description of “1 acre of private beach” advertised was an absolute lie. It is only a few blocks from free beach access, why do they make such an effort to make it look like they have a private beach? Pet fee was 59.99 per night plus tax (acceptable), but is not what the website advertised ($50) Coffee pot in...
