"Very nice view of the lake. Very helpful staff. The rooms have a private onsen hot tub on the balcony. The rooms have tatami and are set up to sleep on the floor. "I do not recommend to stay in this hotel if... 1). you cannot speak basic Japanese. The staff cannot speak basic English and they were not even trying to use any translator device to communicate with foreign guests. I had to use limited Japanese to communicate with the staff. 2). you cannot tolerate heat nor noise. I checked in 2 days ago. This is already April which is spring season, but the hotel still had not offered cool function of air conditioning. How stubborn the hotel management is....

It is a very traditional house with renovated bath & toilet and owners are friendly and accommodating . Location is not very accessible if you don't drive but they fetched us from wachi station as the ryokan is located 30 mins from local train. Would strongly recommend if you want a local ryokan stay experience."
