I have stayed in far more expensive and fancier hotels, but this is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. It was clean, the bed was super comfortable, the shower was both clean and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The staff was friendly and competent, and the breakfast was great. It had a wide assortment of tasty options. When I'm in Oakland again, I'm staying there. And added bonus, they didn't charge extra for parking. A friend of mine stayed in downtown and was charged $50 extra to park her car at her hotel.

Spent a night here to attend a concert in Oakland Alameda Coliseum. Location wise, it is perfect as they have a lot of food establishments and groceries that are walkable if you get hungry anytime. Rooms were clean, staff were friendly and there was a continental breakfast available. The hotel itself is kind of old as you can see on their elevators, aircons and carpets that are pretty worn out. We just had issues with the loud guests passing by the hallway that made us have a hard time sleeping.

The breakfast was good as usual. Didn't know that I needed a parking slip for daily parking. May want to ask for one if you bring a car. Lots of options for restaurants in the area. Great place to stay in the east bay.

This place looks a little dated but it is so clean I was very impressed. If the furniture was updated it would have been a 5 Star easily. Truly not covering any flaws to hide its age. Parking was included. On the days I stayed plenty was available. Very convenient area with plenty of shops in all directions. Staff was very friendly. Simple basic breakfast. Coffee tea toast etc. Definitely a go to place I will be using.

older hotel that has been rehabed. only found one ice machine on 3 floors that worked. had a ghost drawer in the room that would slide open on its own every now and then. iron was mounted in the closet so that you could not open the closet door all the way nor close it. shower door would not stay open and would not close all the way. breakfast was okay. parking was good. security was good. room was clean. i would stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay overall, and the hotel was a nice place to stay during my business trip to San Francisco. However, my main concern was the noise level. The hallways carried a lot of sound, and conversations echoed, making it difficult to rest. Before my arrival, I specifically requested a quiet room away from elevators and ice machines because I am a light sleeper. Unfortunately, my room was located fairly close to an ice machine, and I could hear it operating throughout the night. I understand that some noise is unavoidable, but I would have appreciated more consideration of my room preferences. Overall, my experience was good, and I hope the hotel takes these requests into consideration for future guests.

I thought the room was clean in both that bath and living area. An added bonus to La Quinta is that the breakfast was more along the lines of a Holiday Inn breakfast not a continental breakfast. The choice on the TV had both ESPN and HBO so that was nice to have. And the surrounding area had plenty of options for dining in walking distance. One thing I would like to see is a map of the hotel since it is spread out.
