This was our first stop in Sri Lanka for one night only and after a nightmare journey with flight cancellations, the staff very kindly allowed us to check in at 5am, which we greatly appreciated. The phone number for the hotel was wrong on Expedia so we struggled to get in touch with them to let them know about our late arrival however our driver was able to contact them for us - so just make sure you’ve got the right contact details in case you need them! The hotel is lovely and we were sad not to have been able to enjoy it for longer!

Lovely place that needs some refreshing

We enjoyed our stay at Tea Plant, with a very spacious room offering a lovely view — thank you again for the upgrade. Dinner was also good and generous. However, the hotel really needs some refurbishment (leaks, worn furniture), and the staff could be a bit more professional

Vijay ( victory) stay.

Vijay and his team were fantastic. Took care of the smallest of requests with a lot of attention to detail. Vijay is a complete hospitality manual in himself.

Went to the hotel to check in. there was no reception nor a receptionist. we were spoken to by a male who was not even in an uniform. we wanted to check out the room that were assigned to us. the room looked unclean. bedding was torn and dirty. there was a bad odor coming from the room. the pictures that were published in your web site was deceiving. decided not to stay at this property.

Everything was perfect!

Beautiful hotel overlooking the lake. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Best breakfast we've ever had! The service was fantastic, VJ made us feel at home right away and couldn't do enough for us. Everything was perfect from start to finish.

Wonderful view and great service

Beautiful property with excellent view of Lake Gregory. Very well decorated boutique hotel with personalize service by the property manager (Mr Vijay) and his team. Knowing that we were leaving very early to hike at Horton plains, they packed sandwiches and fruits for us to bring along.

Great hotel overlooking Gregory lake

Great hotel with modern facilities. It felt like more of a home stay rather than a hotel. The food here was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The only thing missing from this place was a bit of music in the lobby and restaurant... it was very quiet while we were eating!

Short and sweet stay

This was a gem of find. Beautiful boutique hotel close to Lake Gregory. Only 9/10 suites. Rooms were very spacious and general decor of the place was of the highest standard. We loved all the very unique furniture pieces and open plan design of the place that let in a natural light. Aboslultet stunning views of the lake. Very clean and modern with friendly staff. The manager Mr Vijay was a great host. Would highly recommend for short stays when passing through Nuwarelaya.

Good location

The hotel is located just a few minutes drive from the city... Peaceful stay with amazing view of Gregory Lake. Room is comfortable and staff are polite and helpful. Would definitely go back again
