"We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Le Lion d'Or. The location couldn't be better—an easy walk to shops, restaurants, bars, historical sites, and even a grocery store. The hotel itself was quiet, clean, and very comfortable, with a warm atmosphere clearly geared toward an American clientele. "This was our base during our visit to Normandy. Located in a central location to restaurants and shopping, it was a lovely historic hotel. There was no air conditioning, but there was a fan - which was great. Staff was courteous and helped with all our questions. Taxis are readily available to get to the train station. Will stay there again should we ever find ourselves in Bayeux. Exactly as described. "
