"I’m giving this place 5 stars mainly for the beautiful location and calm atmosphere. The room I got was a bit older and could use a few updates, but everything felt generally clean, no unpleasant smells, just a little dust here and there. What really makes Sands on Golden Lake special is the view, absolutely magnificent in the early morning, and at night the sky is filled with stars and even a glimpse of the Milky Way since it’s tucked away in the quiet countryside. "Went for a girls weekend and had a great time. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed and answered any questions that we had. The room was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the dining options too! Our only concern was that there was a hockey tournament, so the pool and hot tub were full of kids, so we didn’t get to enjoy that amenity, no fault of the resort. Definitely going back next year to make this an annual tradition."
