"This property is central within Akureyri. The people at the front desk were so nice and also helpful. We had no problem parking, but I think we got lucky. There is no dedicated parking, so you have to find a place on the street. "

"The apartment is very well maintained has a fridge and cutlery, a microwave. Close to the harbour. Easy accessibility to the room with the code. Many restaurants near by if you want to eat outside. Bonus and Kronos is also walking distance. Staff did respond and allowed me early check in because of the weather. "

"We traveled from the US. The host was so great and met us as we pulled up. He showed us around the hostel plus our room. Because of last minutes changes to our reservation, we ended up with a two shared rooms all to ourselves. We had plenty of room plus lots of extra. We would visit again if we were in the area again. "The staff resolved an issue prompty and without any fuss. The hotel was to a good standard, the staff very helpfull and the breakfast had a lot of variety (if only it had fresh baked loaves). This hotel appears to be used by coaches, hence it can be difficult to eat at the main restaurant, however the one outside is very good. We loved the practical artwork in the lobby, it added character. We'll be staying there again next time we're in Iceland. "

"Be aware this hotel is older, the main building is from 1820, as such it has quirks of older buildings (squeaky floors, thin walls). With that being said, it was very clean and comfortable and a nice change from the usual chain hotels."

"If I could give them 8 stars out of 5 I would. This place is a gem. The owners are so welcoming and helpful and the guesthouse (which the owner designed) is beautiful. So beautifully decorated and warm and homey. The breakfast was perfect. HOMEMADE BREAD! and so many other choices. A perfect Icelandic breakfast. We are so happy we stayed there two nights. By far this was the best place we stayed at in Iceland!"
