The drinks and food at the pub were well-kept, and there’s a great mix of locals and visitors, which adds to the charm."

"The place was wicked , really friendly n safe, staff were helpful n happy .. loved the space .. great discount on drinks as a guest .. Just was the old breakfast menu in the tools which you had at the sister hotel down the road .. was looking forwards to the full English but only continental available .. which to be fair was real nice .. just thought was worth a mention. .. would stay again for sure! "Absolutely stunning hotel, the photos do not do it justice. Everything about the room was perfect. The staff were amazing and we didn’t dine at the restaurant but it looked beautiful. No complaints at all, I would recommend a stay here to anyone."

"As a hiker on the Hadrians Wall trail, this venue had everything; good food, good beer and a good drying room. After a wet walk this was most welcome. This place was very convenient on the Wall trail and would highly recommend. "

"Enjoyable stay in one of the pub's rooms at the back of the property. Nice big room with settee and two chairs, much better than having to sit on the bed. Tea and coffee, fridge and bottled water are nice extra touches provided for when you get back from a day exploring. Shower good, water hot plus soft towels ( much appreciated!) and very quiet location in a small village with a handy village store in walking distance. Great overall stay."
