"This hotel was like staying at a resort. The property itself is perfect and had a beautiful pool area and breakfast area. Breakfast was amazing with lots of hot choices. You can easily walk to get dinner, breakfast, and ice cream right near the hotel. We had a great view of the runway so we were able to see planes takeoff and land and not really hear them at all. We would definitely stay here again. "

"I was disappointed because much of what they advertised (and why we paid $ to stay at this particular property) flat out didn’t exist. There is no beach volleyball, no basketball courts, no arcade, there is no pizzeria, there is not more than 1 restaurant-actually there is a buffet that has very little variety and the same thing day after day and there is another restaurant that (despite being specifically listed on our reservation) they refused to let us eat there. Our room was in very poor condition (but in all fairness-we went into another person’s room and it was much better). There is no hot tub (there is an area that we think is supposed to be but probably broken). We were able to stay positive and we made the most of our stay but we do feel lied to and a bit cheated - very disappointed in the property. Positive—-The view was great!! We liked Costa Rica. We may go back but not likely to this location. I would not recommend this property. "

"I never write reviews, but felt I had to for my stay at Wyndham Tamarindo. The staff is not properly trained to provide customer service in the hospitality industry. There is no gym on the premises, you will need to take a shuttle or walk to The Langosta Beach Club to use their gym. The water kept running out. We had to quickly take showers to ensure we did not run out of water. The TV only worked with 2 remotes. One remote was for the volume and the other to change the channels. They also ran out towels. We had to use pool towels. There were also bugs in the bed. I will say that the aesthetic of the hotel was nice, but the service was subpar. "

"Property is on a great location. However signs of deterioration are starting to be evident. Blackout with holes and unfluffy pillows are just an example. The food was not good in general, with the exception of the Italian restaurant. "

"Hot tub wasn’t working. Pool area was nice , rooms were clean but out dated . Staff was excellent. Food was good . Needs less steps to pool area and needs another elevator."

" My fiance and I recently stayed at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica and overall had a great experience, especially with the Star Class service. While the housekeeping could have been better—there were a few inconsistencies with room cleanliness, mainly our bathroom & shower walls and restocking the in-room coffee with pods. What truly stood out was the Star Class butler/concierge service. Henry, our butler, was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of—from reservations to special requests—and was always attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind. His level of service really elevated our entire trip and made us feel taken care of every step of the way. The resort itself is nice and friendly staff, good food options, and a fun atmosphere. Special thank you to Henry for making our stay unforgettable—I would definitely return because of service like his!"
